Quarto 3 raz jeszczeEdit
Pages 3 and 4 are being shortened in English to fit them into pdf format this week; their content is not being changed. There will be wiki-wide promotion of the third Quarto this week, and the finished editions (English, French, Chinese) will be uploaded to the foundation site tomorrow for an announcement.
-- kocio ✉ 18:41, 1 August 2005 (UTC)
-- kocio ✉ 12:15, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay. I am afraid that our funds for bringing EU and US attendees are most limited; you are not likely to get a scholarship (though there are some final scholarships being handed out, due to last minute funds opening up).
Best wishes, and hopes to see you one of these years soon, +sj 05:56, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
My block on the Polish WikipediaEdit
Hi. I come here to ask you to unblock me on the Polish Wikipedia as I can't edit my own talk page. Masti claims I cheated. I haven't cheated. I just asked for rename kindly on the Polish Wikipedia, subsequently asked you to review it. Earlier today I gained access to my old account, and I asked for unlock to complete the rename process. What Masti did is totally unacceptable. He's blind to look at the irrefutable proof I have: http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Wikinews:Admin_action_alerts#Update_on_my_main_account http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Log?page=User:MisterWiki@global . Everyone knows the Wikinewsie and Zeusbot net thing. I didn't manage any other account than : MWBot (my failed bot project) ; MisterWiki (the account locked for security) and Diego Grez; my current account. Again. The block in the Polish Wikipedia is unacceptable. Additionally, Masti claims I have socked with "DJ Raiden" (doesn't exists); "Musicfan48" (account I have just used in the English Wikipedia when I did the spam thing" and "Diegogrez" formerly my main account. I don't think a block is needed for something I did 4 years ago and in another wiki! Cheers and hope a satisfactory answer from your part. Diego Grez return fire 00:45, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Translator, We need you!Edit
Dear Aegis Maelstrom,
You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.
Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.
If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.
Hello - while I will not make a final decision at this point about whether your candidacy was entered too late, I will require that you log in and confirm that you are indeed the candidate. Thank you for doing this immediately. Risker (talk) 00:13, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
I've emailed you on a Signpost matter. However, given the message above, please note that your candidature will need to be confirmed before we include you in our coverage.
Important announcement: Election delayed by one weekEdit
The Election Committee regrets to advise that it is necessary to delay the start of voting in the WMF Elections 2013 for one week. This delay is being implemented for three reasons:
- We have been unable to verify that the list of eligible voters is complete and that all voters meet the published criteria
- We have been unable to verify that the SecurePoll setups for the election are properly functioning
- The voter interfaces have not been translated and are not currently available in any language other than English, thus disadvantaging Wikimedians who do not read English.
The following changes are now made to the Election timeline:
- 8-22 June 2013: elections
- 23-25 June 2013: vote-checking
- 25-28 June: publication of results.
Re: Wikimedia Chapters ResearchEdit
Hi, I think that the GAC gives an opinion and this is not mandatory. In general there is a big percentage of project approved or disapproved following GAC's opinion. The specific case of European Parliament is an exception connected basically with the pressure of some chapters (in my opinion) who approved the project internally and financed it partially. I agree in your point basically to identify mainly the responsibilities of the project when it doesn't reach all objectives because if GAC gives an opinion but it is done differently, someone should also have in charge the failure of the project. --Ilario (talk) 11:54, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
2014 FDC self-nominationEdit
Hello there! Thank you very much for submitting your nomination to join the Funds Dissemination Committee. I am Katy, and I am working with the Board representatives to the FDC on the FDC nominations process. As you know, the public question and answer period is now underway. Please do review the questions and respond to them as you are able. If you are selected for an interview, kindly note that interviews will be held the week of the 23rd June and the 30th, if necessary. If the Board appoints you to the FDC, we will be holding orientation for members prior to Wikimania on August 6 and 7 in London. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out to me on my Talk page or at FDCsupport@wikimedia.org. Once again, thank you very much for putting yourself forward as a candidate for the FDC! KLove (WMF) (talk) 00:09, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
How can we improve Wikimedia grants to support you better?Edit
Hi! The Wikimedia Foundation would like your input on how we can reimagine Wikimedia Foundation grants to better support people and ideas in your Wikimedia project.
After reading the Reimagining WMF grants idea, we ask you to complete this survey to help us improve the idea and learn more about your experience. When you complete the survey, you can enter to win one of five Wikimedia globe sweatshirts!
In addition to taking the the survey, you are welcome to participate in these ways:

- Join a small group conversation.
- Learn more about this consultation.
This survey is in English, but feedback on the discussion page is welcome in any language.
Last call for WMF grants feedback!Edit
Hi, this is a reminder that the consultation about Reimagining WMF grants is closing on 8 September (0:00 UTC). We encourage you to complete the survey now, if you haven't yet done so, so that we can include your ideas.
What future IdeaLab campaigns would you like to see?Edit
I’m Jethro, and I’m seeking your help in deciding topics for new IdeaLab campaigns that could be run starting next year. These campaigns aim to bring in proposals and solutions from communities that address a need or problem in Wikimedia projects. I'm interested in hearing your preferences and ideas for campaign topics!
Here’s how to participate:
- Learn more about this consultation
- Vote on and submit new campaign topics in the AllOurIdeas Survey
- Discuss campaign topics and ask questions on the IdeaLab talk page
Future IdeaLab Campaigns resultsEdit
Last December, I invited you to help determine future ideaLab campaigns by submitting and voting on different possible topics. I'm happy to announce the results of your participation, and encourage you to review them and our next steps for implementing those campaigns this year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered time to participate and submit ideas.
With great thanks,
You sure? :) Nemo 12:39, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
Inspire Campaign on content curation & reviewEdit
I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.
All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is welcome - your skills and experience can help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign to improve review and curation tasks so that we can make our content more meaningful and accessible! I JethroBT (WMF) 05:38, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
Open Call for Individual Engagement GrantsEdit
Greetings! The Individual Engagement Grants (IEG) program is accepting proposals until April 12th to fund new tools, research, outreach efforts, and other experiments that enhance the work of Wikimedia volunteers. Whether you need a small or large amount of funds (up to $30,000 USD), IEGs can support you and your team’s project development time in addition to project expenses such as materials, travel, and rental space.
- Submit a grant request or draft your proposal in IdeaLab
- Get help with your proposal in an upcoming Hangout session
- Learn from examples of completed Individual Engagement Grants
Thank you for participating in Learning Day, Wikimedia Conference 2016Edit
Thank you for engaging at Wikimedia Conference 2016 Learning Days!Edit
Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.
Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign so that we can work together to develop ideas around this important and difficult issue. With thanks,
2016 Community Wishlist SurveyEdit
You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.
The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

The candidate for the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees is asking you to support his candidacy!Edit
Hi Aegis Maelstrom,
I ask you and your local organization to consider my candidacy for the candidates for the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. I myself put forward my candidacy for this election. I ask you to support my candidacy, as I have a strategic vision of the next. Each of the foreign language sections of the Wikimedia Foundation project must receive the widest support. This will ensure an increase in the content of your linguistic local of the Wikimedia Foundation projects. Other linguistic local communities of the World can count on the same support. Also, I believe that all foreign language sections of the Wikimedia Foundation projects that are less powerful than English speakers should have the same chance for the rapid growth of their local projects.
In case you and your local organization support my candidacy. Then, I ask you to write this in my profile of the candidate for the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. You can write this in the "Endorsements" section of my candidate profile.
Thank you for your attention!
Kind regards, — Yithello (talk) 11:36, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
