Hello all, I'm Sam 👋

I am currently an administrator, checkuser and oversighter on the English Wikipedia. I was previously an administrator here on Meta (2018 - 2019) and a steward (2018 - 2020), both of which rightly yet regrettably lapsed due to inactivity during a break from Wikimedia projects.

I am requesting meta adminship again for similar reasons as before - being an admin here will allow me to:

assist with anti-spam efforts (something I tackle a fair amount at SPI with undisclosed paid editors) by maintaining the global spam and title blacklists
carefully build and maintain both the local and global abuse filters
make it up to Base and put in the work at CN requests
help generally at WM:RFH

Since my return to editing, I have continued improving my aptitude at using the admin/functionary tools, been heavily involved in anti-abuse work and worked towards increasing my TimedMediaHandler maintenance experience as pointed out by Xaosflux. I am again able to commit a significant amount of volunteer time, but for transparency I will highlight that I also intend to run for re-election in the 2022 steward elections.
