I'm sorryEdit

Hi TheresNoTime,

On the occasion of the talk page history interaction at enwiki, I wanted to apologize for the harsh way in which I had voiced my criticism of your Steward confirmation request. I think it was influenced by my impression that, as Steward confirmations are evaluated by the Stewards themselves and are not a vote, there is hardly a way for the community to actually not-confirm a Steward unless they have been severely misbehaving. It thus probably (and likely incorrectly) felt necessary to make a point in the most blunt way possible to maximize the impact of the vote on the end result. Or something like this. That doesn't justify my style of argumentation, but I thought you might have wondered where it came from, and that seems to be the most plausible explanation to me personally.

I am not, and I have not been, concerned about anything else than the checkuser access you have implicitly re-applied for. The talk page interaction has reminded me that I value you and your judgement as an admin colleague.

Sorry and best regards,
