edit

Hello,

Some changes has been made in Fundraising 2008/thank you/nl after it was published. Can you update the site notice? Or can you tell me where to go to get it changed?

Thank you very much. Abigor talk 13:54, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

Thanks! However, please delete this redirect [2], since Classical Chinese is totally different from Modern Chinese, and should not be redirected. It's better keep it as English and others may try to translate this, if Modern Chinese is shown, others will not try to translate this message. Thanks again.--Itsmine 05:18, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

You really think that? I asked Ting to review the translation and he told me that it wasn't Classical Chinese, it was Traditional. (We knew before we saw you comment and that the languages are not the same.) However, wouldn't you agree that it is better to show Traditional Chinese instead of English (as a "fallback" language)? If not, I can delete the redirect and turn the sitenotices back to English... Cbrown1023 talk 17:03, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

In reality, the fallback language of Classical Chinese should not be Traditional Chinese, but this is another issue and I do not prefer to discuss at here. However, I can ensure that using English is much better since it will promote others who know Classical Chinese to translate. Thus please delete that redirect, thanks!

And once I am free, I will translate that immediately, maybe just within these few days.--Itsmine 17:19, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

problem with he-wiki sitenotice

edit

the message that appears on the hebrew sitenotice, after you click on the "dismiss" button is:

"תירמו ויקיפדיה - מיזם ללא מטרות רווח"

You can see a screenshot here. It should be fixed to (I mean the text that is not inside the red button):

"תירמו לוויקיפדיה - מיזם ללא מטרות רווח"

I couldn't find the source for this mistake, this message does not appear in [3], so I hope that you know where to fix this. The Relativity of The Truth 11:13, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fixed, the problem is that we had a "SITENAME" variable in place so it worked for other wikis. Looks like that was the problem. Cbrown1023 talk 16:55, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Central notice on et: wikipedia

edit

On the Estonian Wikipedia, the banner of the steward elections was published with scandalous grammatical mistakes. We corrected the text. Please re-publish it as soon as possible, or still better, remove it since for our small community a simple announcement is enough. There is no need of exposing the banner to every reader. Andres 08:54, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done and it doesn't show to every reader, it only shows it to logged-in users. Also, everyone can hide the banner by hitting the button. Cbrown1023 talk 18:21, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
The old text containing both substantial and grammatical mistakes still stands on the Estonian Wikipedia (people say so; I hid the text and can't read it anymore) and it also has been published on the Estonian Wiktionary. Andres 12:11, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I've seen your edit sumary. Please watch at User:Kropotkine_113 and tell me if I'm doing it right translating in sub-templates by month. I don't know how to use this page : Translation requests/WMF/News-fr. Is it only a work space or do I have to update it too ? The translations of {{News-en}}

Thanks :) One more question : is there a dedicated and efficient place to ask for these page's updates ? Kropotkine 113 08:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Normally the only thing you'll need to do is update the status (but recently we've been really busy with the stewards elections and it seems like we missed the Local chapters update). However, if the update is not getting done, try Meta talk:Babylon or Wikimedia site feedback. You could also just do my talk page or e-mail me. ;-) Cbrown1023 talk 18:19, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Minor bug on www.wikipedia.org

edit

Hi Cbrown1023, I'd like to report that a couple of users at id.wikipedia found some missing text on www.wikipedia.org. Above the search box there is text that's supposed to show like this:

"... hľadať · søg · cari"

But it only shows this:

"... hľadať · søg · ca", and in some resolutions only this: "... hľadať · søg ·"

Maybe it's a text wrapping thing. Can you please help fix it? Thanks! dragunovadiscuss 16:00, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikimania 2009/CentralNotice

edit

Hey, could you explain your edit summary, "it does not work like that, there is a specific interface for adding them -- we don't want people to comment on those pages, because no one watches them"? I'm fairly sure that CentralNotices are added on pages of the form I specified. I could be wrong though; hence my question. Best, —Anonymous DissidentTalk 02:58, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are right, they are added to the pages specified. But... we don't want people adding them through the MediaWiki namespace – it's better to add them through the notice interface. If we list them there, people might visit that page to change them by themselves if they have the rights (and not update the centralized page) and they could even comment on the talk page for the MediaWiki page (which no one watches). Sometimes it's better to not provide a ton of information, just enough is good enough. :D Does this make sense? Cbrown1023 talk 03:04, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sounds fair enough. I'm not particularly acquainted with the process of notification on this scale; for my own information, could you explain what you mean by the "notice interface"? edit

Hey again, your point about simple English for multilingual users is sound, and I agree with it. I'll try to be more mindful in future. I've taken the liberty of annotating the other statuses; it didn't seem to make sense that only two of four had descriptions. I was going from the fact that almost everything else in Category:Wikimedia committees has the committee page as a root page rather than a sub-page. Yeah, the elections committees and licensing committee are special because they are only meant to be temporary – they serve one specific purpose or event and when that's done, the committee is basically dissolved. Cbrown1023 talk 22:07, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Translation question

edit

When I translate/fix a translation, do I notify anyone or just change the page it is listed from (as needing translation) myself? (I'm asking about the actual regular procedure of course, not an emergency situation, what should I do?). And of course, some links that need translating, I don't know if the -es exists yet ^.^, so notifying someone who knows what they're doing might be best. (but preferably not a busy admin?) There are all sorts of instructions but I don't think they're very clear regarding what to do to let meta know something is done (sorry if I skipped an easily findable help page).--sscout 01:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

It depends on what you're talking about and what the current status of the translation is. For example, if you're making a change to a published translation of the wmfwiki home page, then you'll need to change the status of the translation to "ready" on the status template (otherwise we won't know to update it). If it's about a notice like Licensing update/Translation, then you need to update the text there and change the status to "ready". If it's something that stays on Meta-Wiki, but has a translation status template (like Translation FAQ), then you can just update the page and leave the status as "published". If it's something like Licensing update that stays on Meta and has no status template, then you can just fix the page. :-) I hope this helps, but if it's confusing or you have any other questions, don't hesitate to poke me! Automatic translation

I'm curious about your comment about translators. I would like to read more about the copyrighted status of the resulting translations. Do you know if there were some discussion about this before, in any place? Do you know some free translator? Thanks in advance... ;-) Helder 17:08, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

That was something Aphaia told me once, I don't know if there was any discussion about it. But to me, it just makes sense. If you translate something, the resulting translation is text that's copyrighted by you (and the author of the original text). Why should a machine be different? The person who spent all that time writing the code is basically the "translator" in this case. Hmm, I'm not sure of any free translators. They probably exist, but I can't think of any. Cbrown1023 talk 21:00, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Article translation

edit

Hi Cbrown1023,

I would like to help translating the useful articles in Wikipedia to Thai language but I don't know how to apply for translator.

Could you please suggest me? I can translate English <==> Thai <==> French.

Kat

You don't need to apply to be a translator. All you have to do is create an account on the Thai Wikipedia, pick an article from another wiki that you like but doesn't exist yet on Thai Wikipedia, and translate it! :-) (Make sure you mention somewhere in the edit summary something like "Translation of w:en:ARTICLE NAME". Article translation is usually a solitary process, but there are projects like the Translation of the week. Good luck and thanks for wanting to help! Cbrown1023 talk 20:45, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

With regard to this – where are people supposed to post these translations for languages that /don't/ have it yet? I know that most languages have those two, but I don't see the harm in having the extra parameters so that languages lacking the "hide" and "help" text can be covered. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 02:00, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you translate it, we can put it on the Foundationwiki, because that's a good point. Hmm, you can put it in your userspace since we only want to have a translation into French (and not the other languages, otherwise we'd put it somewhere under Translation requests). It was my thinking that the old CentralNotice was outdated, and that a new message will need to be prepared for mid-May (either the tenth or eighteenth; I'm not sure which will be used). So I went ahead and pioneered a new notice. You're more familiar with procedure and such than I am, and know more people involved in translation than I do, so I thought you I should let you know. Retrospective translation

edit

Hi Casey,

It occurs to me that the next phase of LU translation is to make sure pages in every language have the correct tense and up-to-date information. What do you think? I'm less than experienced in getting the message "out there" in translation circles, so I came here to see if you could get the wheels in motion on translation-I and such. Cheers, —Anonymous DissidentTalk 23:11, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been rather busy with exams. Personally, I don't think it's as big of a deal to have the "correct tense" – it's fine keeping the page as an "archive" if it means less work for a bunch of different people. Do you catch my drift? project portals

edit

Hi. I see you synced a bunch of the work I've done on the project portal pages. I've tried being patient on this. I noticed that you skipped wikiquote and wikiversity citing 'errors'.[4] [5]

I see what happened with wikiquote, but don't see any issue with wikiversity.

I have fixed the first issue and have pushed both of the temp pages further along as I've been doing on others. All seems good to me, and I'll keep pushing things as I have time. You can preview the temp pages using these links:

On the wikiversity page, I also made some tweaks to the positioning of the logo and the boxes in orbit. On this portal, I'm using a fixed width of 12em on the boxes in order to force the ones that have long text in them to wrap. Other things I plan on doing are to rework the "Other projects" code to not use duplicate links on the icons and text (and I expect to do a nice on-hover effect). I've done a lot of refactoring of the inline styling into the embedded style sheet and there is more to do on all the portals. The end game to all this will be to pitch a new look and see what people think. Cheers, Jack Merridew 11:01, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

more

I just did the GFDL=>CC tweak. The changes in the queue are exactly the same as in

Do note the brief chat at talk:www.wikimedia.org template/temp about how I tweaked the ordering slightly. It could easily go back if I've missed something. Cheers, Jack Merridew 11:20, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You've done a great job at updating all the portals and making them better, I noticed that when I was doing all the updates – they're more standardized and look like they save load time. (This is why I asked MZMcBride if he'd take a look and make the fixes if he could, I'm not that big of a dick that I'd ignore all the work you did. ;-)) The fact that you were watching the pages and noticed these makes things even easier. :D
Yeah, I think I forgot to do wikimedia.org, you're completely right here, I'll do that one now. The noticeable error with both of them was the orbit not being aligned correctly and it looks like you fixed that (though, either Spanish or French is misaligned on the Wikiquote portal, could you look into that?). I'll push all your updates, including Wikiquote (but I'll push another update if you could fix the fr/es issue).
Good work on the portals. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 14:22, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I know about the alignment issues. The key issue is that the current positioning is working of the top-left (or top-right) corner of a box that varies in width based on the content. As in interim step, I've experimented with fixing the width. A mechanism based on an offset from the center of an ideal point on the "orbit" would be better. There's also the idea of getting away from the orbiting look. A protracted discussion, I'm sure.
The load times ("page weight") on the high side are due to too many external style sheets being pulled in that contain stuff that's not being used. Cutting that back will have to be done carefully to make sure nothing needed is lost. On my list. I'm taking a code-first approach. I want to get things under control and flexible before I try and make the more visible changes. I'd like to be syncing in smaller batches as a huge/messy diff is likely to spook folks. Mostly folks used to looking at wiki-text diffs.
I'll bring whichever of the portals are "behind" up to where wikipedia and the ones I've touched in the last few days are and then start the next push. I call it "Kick the can" — always in the right direction. I'll do the fr/es tweaks tomorrow ;) Cheers, Jack Merridew 15:50, 18 July 2009 (UTC)(who can be the biggest dick of them all)Reply
If you want a sync, throw a note on my talk page here or at en.wiki. I'm ninja-like in speed usually. Or something. --MZMcBride 20:46, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've updated:

I did a bunch of stuff; positioning tweaks to get things looking balanced, refactoring inline css, omitting nbsp/160 entities in lieu of some css to achieve the same effect (exception; wikiversity allows wrap, now). I've also cut a lot of fully-qualified URLs in favor of targeting the top of the subdomains. This allows local control of where a project wants "Main Page" — control by whomever controls the server redirect. zh.wikiquote.org has something different going on; a language variant option, I think. I paused on that one; also leaves the 100+ tier to-do. It seems like Bosnian and Bulgarian need to move up to displace Turkish and French; I may be missing something, though. This will require a 'tag-line' in those languages and tweaks to the positioning to keep things pretty. I'm gonna point teh ninja at this, so he may beat you to it. Avoid race-conditions ;) Cheers, Jack Merridew 12:40, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

language and outreach questions

edit

I would like to hear your ideas for improvements - technical, procedural, social - to our current language and outreach tools. If there isn't a list of such things, it would be worth making one.

Some of the tools might simply be procedural -- for instance, defining core languages which could be explicitly used as hub languages; or encouraging people to use offline translation tools as part of their work so that one day we could combine that data into a translation memory. -- sj | help translate |+ 11:36, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't need to be tech, thanks for helping clarify. Most tech solutions have social equivalents and vice-versa. I think some telling changes would be social. Simply stating there are core languages for localization or canonical documents would be a significant change for language issues. Conversely, the proposed idea that all strategic planning be done in English would define how groups are formed and discussions organized. For outreach, wiki and social issues about where presentations (or conference papers) are shared and archived, where event calendars are posted and updated, & how requests to talk are shared are all relevant. -- sj | help translate |+ 23:11, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

In the meantime, it would be helpful if you could guide me about the pages that are most referred to by the visitors, so that I translate them first so that more people get benefitted, or the pages that are admin info related so that more people read and understand them in their own language and feel encouraged to join the en<>hi translation team.

"Actively translating"

edit

I'm confused; Downtime is less translated than Board elections/2009/CentralNotice... yet Downtime is not being actively translated while Board elections/2009/CentralNotice is? Also, a landing page does does not really need a cumbersome setup – look at the format of disambiguation pages on the content wikis, for example. What happens when you have more than two items? I'm sure it's a possibility. A final thing: don't you think a simpler format would be more suitable for the page's eventual purpose of documenting CentralNotices in general (which is only sensible, given the page name)? Your thoughts? —Anonymous DissidentTalk 04:04, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

In fact, /Downtime is in Category:Translations in priority, while Board elections/2009/CentralNotice is not. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 04:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Currently, Downtime is no longer a priority for us as it's in the past and we don't foresee any more planned downtime in the near future. The fact that Downtime is still in that category, is my fualt since I had forgotten to de-categorize the page after the outage. Fixed now. I'll let you guys figure out the formatting for the page however... :-P --Az1568 (talk) 04:47, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
We probably won't have more than two items, but if there is it's specifically setup so we can shrink the columns. Also, if we're going with your point about documenting CentralNotice, then it should definitely be like that. If tons of people are going to be sent there, then we're going to want to have something big that points them in the right direction. They shouldn't get confused by all the text at the bottom and should just get pointed in the right direction, no? Cbrown1023 talk 14:04, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
That is a point I didn't think of... let me get back to you. I'm thinking maybe we should have CentralNotice just be a disambiguation, if we're set on having it be a landing page. It's not usual, but what about CentralNotice (documentation), or Help:CentralNotice for the documentation? A redirect to that can be provided from CentralNotice. That way the problem of "alnders" getting confused will be avoided. What do you think? —Anonymous DissidentTalk 21:51, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Publishing Centralnotice for dsb and hsb

edit

Hi Casey, please don't publish a Centralnotice if it is still marked as proofreading. You've once written in a summary that marking as proofreading isn't necessary for dsb and hsb since I'm the only one who translates Centralnotices. You are right but just therefore I mark Centralnotices as proofreading. I give me a time interval to sharpen my look at the translated text. Thus I can see any errors yet. Well, please don't publish the translated Centralnotice until I've marked it as done. Thanks, --Michawiki 07:32, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you're going to remember to come back, then sure. :-) For most other languages, no one will proofread the strings and then your work is wasted (it will just sit there the whole time the notice is up). But we'll remember to leave yours there, thanks for translating Micke! Cbrown1023 talk 14:44, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, of course, I come back because I translate a centralnotice since I don't like untranslated phrases inside translated text :-). I mark the notice as proofreading for myself to avoid double work for you if I make errors because I did it in a hurry. Regards, --Michawiki 18:54, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Diffs on identification noticeboard

edit

Hey Casey,

I removed the recent diffs you added on the identification noticeboard. The diffs should be of Cary's confirmation, so anyone can check an entry anytime. I left the names in until Cary's available. :)

Pathoschild 12:02:49, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Cary's going to be away, without internet access for over a week so he asked Mike to do it while he's gone (and have me help out). I'm going to ask Mike to try to add them (even if he messes up, it should still be good ;-)). I'm assuming that it will be okay for Mike to be adding, because he's another staff member (the General Counsel) and Cary's designee. If this happens again, Cary should probably send an e-mail to the stewards telling them what'll happen with the ID noticeboard. Cbrown1023 talk 15:01, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

MediaWiki:Centralnotice-shared-help-translate/de

edit

Hello Cbrown1023,

I'm from the German Wikipedia and would like to propose a correction in the above mentioned central notice from Hilf uns mit der Übersetzung to Hilf uns bei der Übersetzung. As it seems, I can't do it myself (can't edit the page). The problem with the sentence is that the verb helfen can be used differently with the prepositions mit and bei: When one says Hilf uns bei der Übersetzung (as proposed), it just means Help us with the translation (Help us to do the translation). When one says Hilf uns mit der Übersetzung it literally means Help us by means of the translation (to achieve something else).

Of course one could ask: Why hasn't anyone else objected until now? I think it's because of a tendency in German, especially in the internet, towards anglicisms combined with the fact that the issue is small (one word) and most people understanding what is meant.

Further reference to illustrate my point can be found (in German) at [6].

Communications Project- Volunteer Manual

Hi Casey- I'm wondering what the status is of the Volunteer Manual that was started in the Communications Project. I have created (hopefully correctly) a Category for Volunteering. I'd like to encourage categorization of appropriate pages so that we can get a good look at what has been tried across Meta and also direct current interested parties in commenting on some of the ideas that I've been tossing around and hearing in my Wikification process. It's really old (from July 2007). ;-) If you'd like to help revive, that would be awesome – comproj is looking for stuff to do! Also, the category sounds like a good idea to help keep everything together and see what's been tried before and what hasn't. We met today, and the information that is released is that Brest is Chairman, Kiril Simeonovski is Treasurer, and FlavrSavr is PR vice president. The establishing day of the organization, before getting the approval is 14 March, 2009. We also want to know, is our chapter officially recognized, and if the answer is yes, why this wasn't announced on the main page. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski 17:44, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think there's a bit of confusion here. The Board announces that a chapter is recognized by passing a resolution. These resolutions are listed on wmf:Resolutions (Wikimedia Macedonia's is here). The text on wmf:Local chapters is written by the chapter itself and is then placed by someone else (usually me). I e-mailed Brest a few days ago for the "Local chapters" text, the chapter address, and a Press contact, he said he's working on getting this information together already. Let's wait for him to e-mail me back. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 19:06, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fundraising - Lower case problems in TR

edit

Hi! I understand that the slogans are lowercased, but this creates some misspelling in Turkish. Fundraising 2009/core messages/tr is still uppercase but the slogans published on Vikipedi are lowercase, so I assume this change is done somewhere else. How can we correct the mistakes in lowercasing? Would it be enough if I lowercase the slogans in Fundraising 2009/core messages/tr and it is then re-published? Or I may give you a list of correctly spelled slogans? İyivikiler... homonihilis // ileti 10:17, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, please adjust them on that page if there are any issues. In a perfect world we would have updated that page, but there's been so many tweaks to the messages that there's been no time. :-( Cbrown1023 talk 21:23, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

Please correct the following:

If they should be lower case then why they weren't lower case in the translation page? --Geraki TL 22:03, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done. They weren't lowercase on the translation page because we ended up lowercasing them all after we launched and then "un-launched". People really didn't like the capitalization so we get rid of it. Cbrown1023 talk 22:07, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's not simple for all languages :-) (in greek we never use punctuation in all-uppercase texts).
There is still some banner with "Για Παντα" text (no punctuation).
The bannner from el.wikipedia leads to the english donation page, although there is a greek one. What should be done?
--Geraki TL 09:19, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Yonidebest 18:02, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
These slogans have already been published. It is not the best practice to change a campaign's slogans after publishing them, even if they are not perfect. The translations were made by at least three native HE speakers who live in Israel. They were criticized on he-wp, but without a decisive suggestion for an alternative. I think it is irresponsible for anyone to introduce a change "out of the sleeve". Dror_K 18:14, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Updating mediawiki, you fix?

It should still work if you edit the MediaWiki messages, it's just not as cleaner. The Special:NoticeTemplate interface just makes things easier. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 01:14, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Please be careful when changing any settings for a running notice. We should simply be adding translations and validating them in the preview. There is no need to change the language on the notice itself. Tfinc 09:09, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

MediaWiki

edit

Hi there! I saw that you recreated this MediaWiki page. I deleted it per the talk page request see here. Perhaps you delete it? Kind regards --Barras 13:09, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is the reason that people aren't supposed to comment on random MediaWiki talk pages... the messages don't get seen and are all spread out. Toliño needs to update Fundraising 2009/core messages/gl with the proper text. It would also never say "A Meta" in a CentralNotice... which is another reason why looking at the MediaWiki messages themselves are bad. When the notice is displayed on Wikipedia, it will look like this. Cbrown1023 talk 23:02, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fundraiser 2009 Upper Sorbian (hsb) and Lower Sorbian (dsb)

edit

Hi Casey. I want to ask you when the core messages for fundraiser 2009 for hsb and dsb will complete. Centralnotice works for both languages but only the text. The links to wikimediafoundation.org are not correct. For Upper Sorbian WP a link target is used that doesn't exist and Lower Sorbian is using German WMF page]. Although the link target for hsb doesn't exist, a hsb WMF page does exist. But with some English words. For dsb such a WMF page doesn't exist, it is used, as already said, the German page instead. Dsb is not marked as published yet, although I've already marked it as ready on 2009/11/15. But the centralnotice works for dsb as well. The strings for the Donation extension have been translated on translatewiki.net for both languages. Kind regards, --Michawiki 10:43, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

First of all, sorry for the delay. I'm glad to hear that the CentralNotice works fine for both languages — that was our first priority for all languages (it would be horrible to have you translate everything and then confront visitors to your wiki with English banners on all pages). I just published dsb, so everything should be good there. Hmm, the hsb issue was strange but should be fixed now. About the English words, we're going to create a new request for the phrases that were missing when things settle down.
Finally, about the Global Support page, that's because you live in Germany (or at least have a German IP) and get sent to the Wikimedia Germany page. For me, the page links correctly to hsb.
I hope this helps and sorry again for the delay! Cbrown1023 talk 23:45, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Help in translating of the fundraising messages

Hi Casey!

I didn't participate the fundraising translation this year so I am a bit uninformed. There is an incorrect message on huwiki and I don't find it here :)

The incorrect message is „A Wikipédiára ott van, amikor szükséged van rá – most neki van szüksége rád.” The correct would be „A Wikipédiára számíthatsz, amikor szükséged van rá – most neki van szüksége rád.” as you can find it on Fundraising 2008/core messages/hu page (4. sentence).
