Request for patroller flag

I've been dealing with the mess created by Piermark lately. I'd like a rollback flag, then I can quickly cleanup spams created by him; when I'm attempting to tag userpage spams for CSD, a filter is stopping me (an example), hence I'd like to be autopatrolled.   Question: @Unite together In the headline, you are requesting the “patroller flag”, but in the text, you said that you “like to be autopatrolled”. Autopatrolled and patrolled are not the same, see Meta:Autopatrollers and Meta:Patrollers. Can you please clarify which flag you try to request? If I am correct, I see only 4 reverts and 1 CSD taggings (sysop only link), I don't see too much active activity here on meta to justify the patroller tag. If you do find issues with tagging user pages, you could tag the talk page instead. I am not very inclined to grant patroller given the low amount of track record which cannot allow sysops here to judge whether the access is appropriate. I will say take a few weeks - 2 months of track record and come back to re-apply, I still would like to express my gratitude to you for wanting to help out at meta.   Not done for patroller at this moment. Tools like TwinkleGlobal can help maintenance work here. Having said that, I don't see too much an issue to grant autopatrol at this moment given en/da/zh privs, so I had added that access.   Done for autopatrol. I hope that helps at this moment. Grant me patroller

It is weird to click undo and revert vandalism that I often come across at Meta talk:Babylon. I am an established user and having patroller right can help me revert the nonsense in just one click. Thanks. ─ The Aafī (talk) 11:37, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

I counted less than 30 undos and no CSDs (sysop only link). I will typically see this as too premature for patroller as we require good track record for combating vandalism here and high level of maintenance work to grant. However, as in the RFC that created this group, there is consensus that holders of advance privs elsewhere tends to have a much lower bar for patroller and I see that you are holding advanced permissions elsewhere. Coupled with the narrow used case and in that page there is a track record that you use undo responsibly, I will say   Done. I agree the edits doesn't seems productive, and it might be a troll or someone hiding behind another account name. I would not hesitate to block if the edits are recent, but it's 1 month old and on multiple steward talkpage and they didn't take any actions as far as I can see, so deferring. I don't have experience with how to use Bot yet, but I'm doing a lot of work on Mon Wiktionary alone, so I'm using a bot to ease my workload, I want to use the bot for spelling correction and auto dictionary loading, for example, I want to use every form of User:NjsBot, I'm not very tech savvy so I still have a lot to learn about Bots. My main goal is to make the helpless Mon Wiktionary work better, I'm busy with a lot of work, so I can't view Mon Wiktionary all the time, so I need Bot help. Request for help

Hello I if my message is not at an appropriate place - sorry and feel free to replace it.

I was blocked indefinitely after this check [1] - I was compared to many users. I have strong feeling that I was choose to most similar one and blocked. it happened, I suppose, that I don't backing pro-Ukranian users even if they heavily violate wiki rules. Problem is that such users has indulgence to any violations, even explicit lie - for instance - this request [2] - one can see that user panned lied almost about all circumstances and sources and got astonishing nothing for that.

Requesting Patroller local user right

Hello I am Bobherry. I have been a part of WMF projects since 2011. I am requesting the patroller right here on the Meta Wiki. I currently hold rollbacker on the English Wikipedia and the Simple English Wikipedia, Patroller on the English Wikipedia, and autopatrolled here on Meta. I also have 2FA enabled due to all my local rights. I would like to help out here and start to monitor this Wiki with Huggle for Vandalism. I would also like to be able to revert vandalism here faster as several times I have seen people get blocked on a Wikipedia and hop over to meta and start to vandalize. Hi! When going through the logs, I noticed a false positive for Special:AbuseFilter/161. Perhaps this could be prevented by, on line 8, changing 'user_editcount' to 'global_user_editcount', on the theory that globally active users understand to not edit other's user pages without good reason. I believe this is more or less intentional, and non-autopatrolled users are supposed to request deletion through the relevant talk page (which does lead to confusion on some occasions). Given that the user_editcount was itself added quite recently, it might be a useful improvement to change that to the global version, though. ~~~~

Indeed. I added the 500 edit exemption only 20 or so hours ago; before that, it was only exempt for autopatrolled users and WMF staff.   Comment many of the edit filters well precede "global_user_editcount" so for the global filters it would be typically expected that many of these could be suitably updated to reflect that available parameter. It probably is just the case that it hasn't been reviewed through that lens. In this case, I would say no, it is a local filter for local reasons set in that exact way. So I would say no, as we have had local wars over local pages, and believe that as it is a global user page it should be more tightly controlled.
