Meta ignores Global Blocks

This is to allow them to request unblocks on their Meta user talk pages. Maybe it was easier to exempt the full wiki rather than a single page on that wiki from a development point of view. ~~~~

Polish Wikibooks - works for the interface administrator

Could you please update the code on the MediaWiki page: MediaWiki:common.js from the Wikipedia page: MediaWiki:Persino/common.js under the sign / ** /. I defined the Common namespace with the definition:

Almost all functions from the MediaWiki:common.js page have been moved to this space on the Wikipedia page: MediaWiki:Persino/common.js (here all functions are in the Common space). I developed the functions Common.ScrollBarOverflow, Common.StickyXY and Common.OptimalXY. I wrote the following functions from scratch: Common.RamkiTableIDiv and Common.ZdarzeniaDodatkoweFunkcyjneXY and the function to handle the {{StronaStart}} template and its related books I defined in the form: Common.StronaStart.

What these features mean:

• Common.ScrollBarOverflow - for generating certain classes that are used to handle the box with scroll bars,
• Common.StickyXY - update of position: sticky function, where it cannot be used, we use this function for,
• Common.OptimalXY - for handling boxes on pages with used opening and closing book page templates,
• Common.RamkiTableIDiv - adds further functions for table and frame buttons, navigation,
• Common.ZdarzeniaDodatkoweFunkcyjneXY - adds events to handle functions: Common.StickyXY and Common.OptimalXY,
• Common.StronaStart - Serves the table of contents and template boxes {{StronaStart}}.

On textbook pages, boxes and tables of contents are responsive according to my settings, and for all users they will be responsive after updating the MediaWiki:common.js page with Wikibooks: MediaWiki:Persino/common.js.

New show nearby articles feature on Kartographer maps

I am happy to let you know that soon it will be possible to automatically display nearby articles in a map on Commons and other Wikimedia projects using Kartographer. This feature is one of the improvements to Kartographer the Technical Wishes Team from Wikimedia Germany has been working on. Each Kartographer generated map in full-screen mode is now given a new “Show nearby articles” button at the bottom. It can be used to show and hide up to 50 geographically close articles.

The deployment of this feature is planned for 12 October on a first group of wikis. After the first feedback phase, more wikis will follow. Read more on our project page. It is specified in Special:WikiSets/7. Also, if you use TwinkleGlobal, the "report to GSR" checkbox in the deletion dialogue will appear if and only if the wiki is a GS wiki. ~~~~

Do you truly think that it is appropriate to revert another admin on a steward's user talk page? I am happy for you to address the matter to me if you disagree with my action, though without exploring further I don't think that should be your first action. The steward is well able to manage their user talk page and provide their feedback without your intervention, and/or discuss such with me if they disapprove. Usually when I see people (anyone) reverting not clearly bad-faith messages on any pages without explanation, I assume it is a misclick (happened to catch those at least a few times, and happened to myself as well) – usually it is helpful to add a summary in such circumstances to avoid misunderstanding. As for the steward, I'm not sure why they would be more familiar with the explanation to the contributor who was asked not to involve stewards at noticeboard, my user talk, and their user page than anybody else uninvolved (note that I did not find any participation from this steward in the discussions mentioned in your summary), but I am even more doubtful about "user talk page management" when it comes to this particular user (cf. User talk:Ruslik0#Special:CentralAuth/IlDonPedro). Also, I'm not sure what made you title this "reverts" in plural. ~~~~

Hi again. Re these edits, where may we find logs of hiding? User:Perhelion/userstatus.js cannot find them (display on this user's user talk page by that script is identical to display on user talk pages of users in good standing globally). What is the point of hiding vs locking? I like being able to see which LTA evaded their lock, to better inform future reports. Also, PLEASE PING ME when replying to me outside my user talk page, especially on srg where subscription to level 3 sections is not allowed (subscription is restricted to level 2 sections). See also User talk:Jeff G.#Friendly request. @Jeff G., account hidings are essentially suppressions; you cannot see their logs without viewsuppressed rights (I think that's the right one). And yes, Twinkle did not prevent you from reporting since the previous reports had already been archived (that's how long ago the account had been suppressed). ~~~~

@1234qwer1234qwer4: Contacting unlock I sent to arbcom-en@wikimedia.org: I have high hopes for this information because I think I'd be ready to come back to Wikipedia after a year or more! Nearly three years have passed since I have been blocked from Wikipedia. I started vandalizing/disrupting show articles like Twenties in September 2020 and never stopped. People warned me repeatedly to quit, but I disregarded them and carried on. Despite editors' requests that I refrain from doing so, I frequently posted false Beatles covers to articles. I disregarded their advice and kept acting carelessly. After that, instead of trying to stay away from Wikipedia while I was blocked, I frequently engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, initially by using the accounts user:Jobby10, user:Jobbyhahns and others. I also used a variety of different IP addresses including the IP ranges 97.85.128.0/18, 47.24.224.0/23, 2600:6C40:5400:0:0:0:0:0/48. I was unable to contain myself because I missed updating Wikipedia so much. I have lied to several editors on Wikipedia during my tenure there as well. In September 2021, I started to edit the Simple English wiki and vandalized/disrupt rapper articles along with different IPs which people warned me repeatedly to quit. It's my responsibility to prevent vandalism, POV, or the posting of attacks about on any of the Wikis. If my account was unblocked, I would update articles to Good Article Status, and seek mentorship from experienced editors who I have contacted or worked with in the past. I am very sorry for what led to my ban.
