editPatroller
editHello.
Your account has been granted the patroller userright. This permission will allow you to mark edits and page creations as patrolled, view recent changes patrol marks and also quickly rollback consecutive revisions of an editor on a particular page. For more information on the patroller right, please see Meta:Patrollers. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Happy editing! --Mykola 11:26, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

Congratulations, dear administrator!
editCongratulations, M7! You now have the rights of an administrator on Meta-Wiki. Please take a moment to read the Meta:Adminstrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat, and Meta:Requests for deletion, but also Talk:Spam blacklist and Talk:Interwiki map), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings, or modifications of protected pages. The majority of the actions of administrators can be reversed by the other admins, except for history merges which must thus be treated with particular care. Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikimedia-adminconnect. You may find Meta:Admin handbook to be useful. Please also check or add your entry to the Template:List of administrators. You're also allowed to subscribe to the metawiki-admins private mailing list (subscription instructions on that page). Again, congratulations and welcome to the team.—MarcoAurelio (talk) 12:54, 7 June 2023 (UTC) |

Need your input on a policy impacting gadgets and UserJS
editDear interface administrator,
This is Samuel from the Security team and I hope my message finds you well.
There is an ongoing discussion on a proposed policy governing the use of external resources in gadgets and UserJS. The proposed Third-party resources policy aims at making the UserJS and Gadgets landscape a bit safer by encouraging best practices around external resources. After an initial non-public conversation with a small number of interface admins and staff, we've launched a much larger, public consultation to get a wider pool of feedback for improving the policy proposal. Based on the ideas received so far, the proposed policy now includes some of the risks related to user scripts and gadgets loading third-party resources, best practices for gadgets and UserJS developers, and exemptions requirements such as code transparency and inspectability.
As an interface administrator, your feedback and suggestions are warmly welcome until July 17, 2023 on the policy talk page.
Have a great day!Samuel (WMF), on behalf of the Foundation's Security team 12:08, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
Your deletion
editAre you sure that the page Meta:Requests for adminship/ChiefUduladi was meaningless? As far as I can remember the page has other users' comments including one steward. —Yahya (talk • contribs.) 19:55, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Yahya not really, but it isn't going to be missed - mostly a misguided brand new user; suggest we all just move along at this point and not call this a precedence maker. — xaosflux Talk 20:29, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Your deletion of request to administrators and block of my account in Italian Wikipedia
edit@M7, Hello.
Why have you deleted my request for help on the page of Italia's Wikipedia Administrators and then immediately blocked me for a week? Fabius byle (talk) 20:45, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Just to be clear, I posted relevant and legitimate information to an Italian Wikipedia article which got deleted multiple times. I have explained why information is relevant in the article talk page and for complaining I got blocked from Italian Wikipedia. Fabius byle (talk) 21:01, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @User:Fabius byle Sei stato bloccato per vandalismi (prima da IP, poi da utenza registrata). Il blocco sarà ripetuto e prolungato in caso di ulteriori abusi legati alla promozione non legittima di siti/blog o quant'altro. --M/ (talk) 21:15, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- What is adding relevant information considered Vandalism? I posted completely legitimate information about the person in question and your claim on it's illegitimacy is false. Fabius byle (talk) 21:17, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Posting links to blogs and sites was considered spamming by other fellow contributors. Complaining seven times in a rows on a service page is indeed vandalism and led to an immediate block. Please stop whining. --M/ (talk) 21:20, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @M7, I did not complain 7 times in a row this claim is false. Fabius byle (talk) 21:21, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- You have:
- 1. Deleted my request for help.
- 2. Immediately blocked me.
- 3. Didn't explain your position.
- 4. Now you are making false claim that I complained 7 times which I did not.
- Fabius byle (talk) 21:23, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @M7, I did not complain 7 times in a row this claim is false. Fabius byle (talk) 21:21, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Not only that, but I also explained it on the article talk page.
- Institute for Scientific Freedom is an institution in which Peter Gøtzsche is an officialy a Director.
- Broken Medical Science is his podcast, which can be easily checked.
- Fabius byle (talk) 21:21, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Even if links in the future might be of any use, this is not the way to act on any Wikimedia project. Please bear it in mind. --M/ (talk) 21:23, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @M7, now I see. It looks like I found a "bug", because I was using Google Translate of the page to create a request for help, I filled the request but got a form error multiple times. Only then I switched to Italian language and made a request.
- I didn't see that the form actually created the request multiple times. Fabius byle (talk) 21:28, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- I didn't mean to knowingly make multiple requests for administrator help.
- Steps to reproduce:
- 1. Open Google Translate of the page of requests to Italian Administrators, make a request via Javascript Modal Form, get a form error.
- 2. After an error, see that the message actually was posted.
- Fabius byle (talk) 21:32, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

- @M7, to summarize:
- 1. There was a deletion of relevant information from the article about Peter Gøtzsche in Italian Wikipedia. The italian editors that kept deleting this information didn't engage in an article talk page, which I did.
- 2. I made a complaint about their actions to administrators of Italian Wikipedia, which, because of the technical glitch with Google Translate, was sent multiple times.
- 3. You deleted complaints to administrators and blocked me without explanation.
- So, consider this an official unblock request.
- Fabius byle (talk) 21:50, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Ok. Still you can imagine that administrators deal with lot of somewhat problematic behaviors. It was your responsibility to check the outcome of your contributions prior to retry. Also, reading again in full my former text, might help you to understand that any administrator duty is to protect all Wikimedia projects. That's the only reason for my block and tracing back your contributions. The guideline to external links is quite complex and is intended to avoid spam, COIs and other undesired effects on wiki pages. Please also note that what happened may help you to take a pace time to read and fully understand any remark, warning or suggestion you've been given, not only on the Italian Wikipedia, but also on Wikidata project. Usually when you're warned, by several and experienced fellow contributors, you have to take your time to better understand and never over-react as it seems to be in this case: until now I got 16 notifications from your edits here and 6 edit conflicts. Nothing that you were trying to add seems to be really urgent or essential for it.wiki project. This means that you'll have to wait for the block to expire. --M/ (talk) 22:00, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @M7, do you accept that I got blocked because of a technical glitch, was I not? If yes, why do you keep the block?
- By the way, in the Wikidata I have successfully appealed behavior of the same Italian user and it looks like the link will be added. Fabius byle (talk) 22:10, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- If I was not blocked because of the technical glitch, it looks like you are retroactively inventing a reason to continue block. Fabius byle (talk) 22:12, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @M7 Long time ago, I made a fair share of Wikipedia contributions. If I was new to Wikipedia, and encountered such disregard, retroactive invention of reasons to block, I would have left Wikipedia editing never co come back again. I do not think that it is a good way to deal with people, but it's your choice, ofcourse. I'm not a kid and you are not my parent to arbitrarily punish me at a whim. You should have unblocked me after discovering that I'm not a vandal. Block is not punishment and exists for a reason which you blatantly abuse. Fabius byle (talk) 22:22, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- @User:Fabius byle If you were new and spamming links without a prior editing history, you would have had your account locked. You didn't really read my explanation and the links to your actions, which were at first denied, accusing me of false claims, and then of abuses. It took several answers to make you understand your errors: take your time to reflect on this. --M/ (talk) 11:36, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Your claim is literally false because I didn't vandalize, but encountered a bug. I described it and also steps to reproduce. But it seems that you are not interested. Fabius byle (talk) 11:57, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- But I apologize for one thing. I made a statement "Now you are making false claim that I complained 7 times which I did not". Yes, the claim is false, because I didn't complain 7 times in a row (it was a bug). But you didn't know that it was a bug, so you were not making the false claim intentionally, for this I was wrong at the time because you didn't provide reason of my block, I didn't know that request for administrator help got posted 7 times instead of one.
- But now, knowing that it was a bug and not Vandalism, you keep blocking me. Which you do not have right to do because of reason of blocking - Vandalism -- turned out to be wrong.
- Fabius byle (talk) 12:01, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- I must also add that I contributed to Wikipedia since 2006, this block is my first and your unlawful stuborness to lift it is literally outrageous! You do not have the right to arbitrarily leave people "to take time to reflect" on something. You have the right to put lawful blocks and obligation to lift them if unlawful. Fabius byle (talk) 12:17, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- I can see why you put in the block, but I think given it's now evident the glitch wasn't byle's fault, and he was apparently editing in good faith, and using talk pages, "vandalizing" seems like a stretch. Shortening/reversing the block seems is appropriate. No? (Disclosure: I'm here because a discussion I saw on the Admin board led to me also editing Peter Gøtzsche which led me here.) RudolfoMD (talk) 10:14, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- RudolfoMD No, I decided not to, since I also felt quite stalked in this page (see [1]). BTW, the block on the italian language wiki project has already expired. Please also note that my block to mentioned user came after another one on wikidata wiki that is still active, so the claim that it was his first block was also false and pointless. --M/ (talk) 12:38, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- I see zero evidence of stalking on this page. What a horrible thing to say. Shame! Gross misuse of that word. I don't see hounding either.
- He says you put in both blocks one right after the other, clearly implying they're essentially the same block, so if that's true, what's so false, exactly, that it merits pointing out? RudolfoMD (talk) 12:56, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- Never received 26 notification from the same user in few hours. For the wikidata block, you don't seem to able to read block logs. I am not even an admin there. --M/ (talk) 13:08, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
