Wiki Loves Women/SheSaid (Ella diu)
The continuous growth in the number of articles created or edited with each edition showcases the sustained success of the campaign. It indicates a growing awareness and commitment from contributors around the world to bridge the gender gap in representation and recognition.
Why the SheSaid campaign?
To balance the representation of gender in the entries of Wikiquote.
As a matter of comparison, in September 2024 there are 1450 women as opposed to 3879 men listed on the French wikiquote.
Però tot i així...
- Women ?
The primary and most important goal of the drive is to collect quotes « from women ». Occasionally, the quotes may be « about women » or they may be in tight relation with female gender topics; that’s ok but not the primary goal.
"Woman" must be understood as "person self-identified as a woman". Some participants do sometimes add quotes from non-binary people; that’s ok but not the primary goal.
Who can join ?
- Who can participate ?
Everyone is welcome to join the effort, regardless of gender, age, mother language, nationality.
Emphatically, all genders are very welcome.
Individual participation is welcome. Groups are welcome as well.
