Personal info: Dear colleagues, I have served as a Steward for the Wikimedia Foundation for the past three years and therefore this is my third confimation. I would appreciate your support in order to continue taking an active role in the global management of Wikimedia projects. Apart from being a Steward, I have been dealing with spambots, long-term abusers and cross-wiki vandals for several years (since I became a SWMT member in 2010). I am very likely to keep the same activity level in the next months/years (You can find my stats here). The stuff I am generally involved with gravitates towards identifying pattern of abuses, managing LTA information at checkuserwiki and responding to requests filed at SRP, SRCU, SRG as well. I handle the OTRS queues whenever I am avaiable to, and also keep a reasonable bit of action in other different areas such as renaming accounts and changing user rights (I am also a cu-l/cu-wiki manager/administrator). I enjoy voluntary service and knowing that I have helped improve the security and integrity of our projects somehow. I should also emphasize that it has been both a pleasure and a honor to be part of this awesome team of Stewards. Remove Although I have not enough data to evaluate this user's behavior in meta projects, at his home wiki it has been abusive in several ways. He constantly subverts administrative tools and games the system to make up reasons to force a block, threaten or harass anyone who he has a dispute with. Last year, he has been co-responsible for what was probably the largest turmoil among Portuguese community so far, which started with a clear defamation and abuse of power. He has no background of neutrality at all and is mostly a flag collector. Sadly, as long as one's disruptive behavior is restricted to a local wiki, the chances of not being confirmed are near zero and home wiki's behaviour may come as a surprise.   - @Rschen7754: I am sure you're not really expecting me to present evidence of long-term abuse on this tiny space, as any sysop knows those cases require a large amount of evidence. Nevertheless, on a quick link you may want to observe the comments on Radix's last years election for CU, as many users who voted against (most of them sysops) presented the case of abuse. Keep Also being painfully aware of the issues of ptwiki, I believe that RadiX's behavior has been above and beyond what is expected of any Wikimedian. Moreover, I feel that the WMF has not supported the projects as vigorously as they could have. Although I understand their desire for caution, I feel that RadiX, among others, has been allowed to be improperly attacked by certain elements and I want to make it absolutely clear that from my perspective and experience, wearing all of my hats (local admin, bureaucrat, CU, OS, on various projects for a decade and a Steward for over seven years), that RadiX's behavior is not the problem here and that people should feel comfortable judging him on his actions and not judge him on unsubstantiated innuendo and possibly outright misrepresentation. -- Avi (talk) 22:37, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Keep While the ptWiki situation is deep and difficult (and there are both things we, the WMF, could have done better and more that maybe we can do) RadiX's connection to the situation is minimal at best. I have seen absolutely no evidence of malfeasance or inappropriateness. No evidence of defamation, abuse of power or maliciousness. Despite having spent weeks of my time in total over the past year nothing from or about RadiX would make me even reread it twice. Moving on from ptwiki his work as a Steward is impeccable. He has been a hugely valuable ally in all number of cases and situations assisting in the protection of the projects and the community and I've worked with him on more cases then almost anyone else on the Steward team. I can always count on an email when something looks out of place (half of the time with the situation already resolved) or a comment on IRC if there is an emergency. I have nothing bad to say.
