Personal info: Hello all,
I would like to take this opportunity to request confirmation from the community. My home projects are the English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. The majority of my steward actions are in relation to countervandalism and anti-spam. Given the cross-wiki nature of these activities, the ability to use the steward tools is an asset in achieving these tasks.
I speak English and French, and continue to improve my language abilities in Spanish and German (slowly but surely).
A current project I am working on is to help improve the messages and instructions that users receive when impacted by a global block – so that they may continue editing projects by following the detailed steps. I have filed a phabricator ticket on this issue here to make it technically possible display custom block templates globally with specific instructions for legitimate users who are impacted.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with the communities to grow our projects and helping where I can by minimizing disruption and implementing countermeasures against malicious actors. Thank you.

Un projet en cours sur lequel je travaille est d'aider à améliorer les messages et les instructions que les utilisateurs reçoivent lorsqu'ils sont affectés par un blocage global - afin qu'ils puissent continuer à modifier des projets en suivant les étapes détaillées. J'ai déposé un ticket de phabricateur sur ce problème ici pour qu'il soit techniquement possible d'afficher des modèles de blocages personnalisés à l'échelle mondiale avec des instructions spécifiques pour les utilisateurs légitimes qui sont affectés.
J'attends avec impatience l'occasion de continuer à travailler avec les communautés pour développer nos projets et aider là où je peux en minimisant les perturbations et en mettant en œuvre des contres-mesures contre les acteurs malveillants. Je vous remercie.

Keep This steward granted me a pass through IP address blocks so that I can contribute to Wikivoyage via VPN while travelling. Ironically, this same steward seems to have put up a lot of the IP address blocks which prevented me from contributing. I imagine there is a reason for the blocks, that they prevent a certain amount of vandalism. Effective blocks, plus accessible bypasses where needed, is a good combination.
