Hello, SHB2000. Welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum if you need help with something (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Also worthwhile acquainting yourself with the functions of global user pages. Happy editing!

Invitation for Functionary consultation 2021

Greetings SWMT member,

I'm letting you know in advance about a meeting I'd like to invite you to regarding the Universal Code of Conduct and the community's ownership of its future enforcement. I'm still in the process of putting together the details, but I wanted to share the date with you: 10 July, 2021. I do not have a time on this date yet, but I will let you soon. We have created a meta page with basic information. Please take a look at the meta page and sign up your name under the appropriate section.

Thank you for your time.--BAnand (WMF) 03:21, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

@BAnand (WMF): No worries mate. Will check it out. SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 07:39, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

Pardon me?

I'm not trying to fool anyone. I'm asking, no begging for help. That i not a crime. Maybe if I wasn't treated like a disease I would not have to resort to messaging people via here. Please be decent. I'm asking for HELP. Not someone's home address or bank details. Please don't behave like a bully. 31.125.215.135 12:17, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

You're globally blocked under the IP 31.125.215.135 which means that you're not allowed to edit any WMF project until 23/9/21. If you need help, ask a steward, not a Global Sysop. Global sysop's can't do anything. SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 12:20, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Also pinging @Martin Urbanec: (the only steward I know) and @Leaderboard: (trusted well known user). Please help me with this user, I've got little experience on meta. SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 12:22, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Pinging @علاء who made the block, and probably can help more here. Martin Urbanec (talk) 12:24, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Thanks Martin. SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 12:25, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Well thanks to علاء for making things more difficult for me. Alas, I'll message the stewards wish me luck. 31.125.215.135 12:27, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Well, instead of throwing aspersions, you should probably reflect on why got you this global block. SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 12:29, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
This block made per this request --Alaa :)..! 03:21, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

Steward_requests/Global_permissions#abusefilter-helper_for_1234qwer1234qwer4

I don't want to derail the conversation, so will respond here instead. The definition of active may be arguable, but there is precedent of IP and new users (which can also count as "active") having their votes counted. Hence I personally believe that Billinghurst was wrong, though \shrug. Leaderboard (talk) 08:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Just like you, I believe that all good users (i.e. no banned users or locked users) should be voting. But I think Billinghurst is probably tired of that user constantly hat collecting. (asking rollback rights after 44 edits while I myself have 1038 edits and don't have it myself) SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 08:14, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
That does not mean that he has the option to do what he wants, does he? Leaderboard (talk) 08:49, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Not at all. After all, even the stewards and admins are just regular users here but just with special tools. (also, the fact that you weren't given abuse filter helper because of "lack of communication" makes no sense to me and seemed to me that the user was picking on you) SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 08:51, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Did you mean abuse filter maintainer (AFM)? My abuse filter helper request passed on first go. I don't believe Billinghurst actually opposed my AFM proposal; it was Rschen7754 that derailed my application, which created a punishing cascading effect. Whether Rschen7754 was "picking on" me is another question entirely. Leaderboard (talk) 21:10, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Oh yes, my bad. I'll answer that other question by email. SHB2000 (talk | contibs | en.wikivoyage | w:User:SHB2000) 01:07, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

About your action

Hi. I saw the ping you sent me, and I want to explain to you that your action was quite inappropriate. Of course, you might think of this as bold, but this is clearly not so. It's clear what happened when you mark it as done. This was automatically archived, and I marked it on hold to prevent this. Yes, you may not be aware of this intention. But you questioned if I forgot to change status. I didn't simply attach done template for this;

Done. But on hold; Granting should be logged. --Sotiale (talk) 14:27, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

Because I wrote the reason I marked it on hold, you shouldn't change it. And what you left in the edit summary means you didn't see what I left at all. At this point you can't claim it's bold. If you didn't think of it as bold in the first place, the problem is even worse.

|status = on hold<!--don't change this line-->

You cannot arbitrarily change this because you do not have permission to change it. I'd like to believe that you made a mistake while trying to help a steward in a good way.

You may not know my intentions, or you may not know what practices and procedures exist. But if you don't know, the smartest thing to do is to ask someone a question, not to do it yourself. Your intentions may be good, but if the results are in the way, it's not what you want. Some stewards have noticed that you recently commented on steward's request box. I hope that your good intentions are not distorted and transmitted regardless of your intentions. In that sense, I hope that you will be a little more considerate in the future. Thank you. --Sotiale (talk) 12:41, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Okay, I'll be more considerate in the future. SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 12:42, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

don't

I don't want to be blocked globally. Before all of this I was working hard to become a good user on both regular and simple wikipedia and now I have been banned from both and also you have requested I get a global block. I want to be unmanned from both the regular English and simple wikipedia in the near future so please don't do it. MrDanielBryer (talk) 11:17, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

You haven't made any good contributions and made some legal threats, and you are blocked on both the wikis you've been contributing to. That = x-wiki abuse. SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 11:30, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

I have agreed on simple wikipedia to never do legal threats again, which is what I was told to do. which means I can be unblocked again hopefullym MrDanielBryer (talk) 11:34, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
