Вклад User:Silar

--Kaganer (talk) 18:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Он многолик: 46.174.26.234. Тот же почерк (молча удаляет все, что не нравится), те же файлы редактирует, те же пристрастия к народным традициям в польской Вики. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 15:57, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Meta:About

I'm very sorr about it, I'll be much more careful in the future. I think I have fixed it now and it is ready to be marked again. πr2 (tc) 18:40, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

You're right, I completely missed Meta:Quant_a/Oc. Instead I copied a different translation: [1]. The Spanish one was translated by a different user and has different content. This is really a mess. πr2 (tc) 19:06, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Done I fixed Meta:About, didn't import translations from Tibetan and a few others because they didn't have much content. Is [2] correct? Should we use Special:Translate for categories? Then we wouldn't need to duplicate the parent/sub-node relation and we could translate the little description at the top (like on Category:Wikimedia). But maybe we should just have that in a language-select ({{ls}}) thing, like you did on Category:Wikimedia. What do you think? πr2 (tc) 00:12, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
About categories - all ok, this my way also. Trying use Translate Extension with categories resulted in not very good - see mw:Template talk:Langcat. Maybe Nemo solve this problem, if so - yes, should be use Translate Extension with translation of short description, and {{langcat}} also. Language-select was old palliative solution, but useful temporary (until complete separation of translatable content).--Kaganer (talk) 00:50, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
The problem in mw:Category:MediaWiki_Introduction/kl seems very minor. Have you figured out what adds "Category:MediaWiki Introduction" to that page yet? `πr2 (tc) 00:53, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
Yes, but this leads to a non-transparent behavior of wiki-engine: this category is not visible in "Category:MediaWiki Introduction" as a subcategory. --Kaganer (talk) 12:25, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
I didn't notice that, but now I do. How is that even possible?! πr2 (tc) 18:06, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
I don't understand also ;) Only Nikerabbit may know about it... --Kaganer (talk) 18:10, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Re: Using Translate Extension with categories

It seems that we run out of ideas, so yes. --Nemo 20:06, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Ok, then maybe enable subpages in the "Category:" namespace? --Kaganer (talk) 20:08, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Translation admin

Why are you not one? o_O πr2 (tc) 23:48, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Nope ;) And not a just admin also ;) I am translation admin in the Wikidata, but still don't used these permissions.--Kaganer (talk) 23:54, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
If you need the translation admin right, just let me know and I can grant it. Thehelpfulone 23:57, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
ok, thanks ;) --Kaganer (talk) 00:00, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

Does the code of Ombudsman commission look good to you? πr2 (t • c) 05:21, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Look good ;) Note: with language division of Category:Privacy (and decision about Category:Policies) may disband categories Category:Data retention policy and Category:Donor privacy policy‎, move the entire multilingual content to the upper level. --Kaganer (talk) 06:01, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
[3]. Oops, missed that. Thank you! ;) Are the catgories good currently? They can aways be fixed easily later if they're not. πr2 (t • c) 15:53, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Template:Project lists

Wikisource).
--Kaganer (talk) 19:21, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Обрати внимание, что в переводимых страницах могут быть категории, также имеющие языковые версии. Для них используется шаблон {{Langcat}}, который сам подставляет языковой код. См. мою правку. --Kaganer (talk) 19:41, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Спасибо большое. Про ленгкат знаю, но так как не совсем понимаю как он работает, то не всегда юзаю… --Base (talk) 20:45, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Если видишь, что у категории включён список языков, то используй. Шаблон проверяет имя страницы на совпадение с тем, что ему дано в качестве параметра, и если не совпадает, добавляет к имени категории постфикс "/код", где "код" - имя текущей подстраницы, которое (как ожидается) будет кодом языка. --Kaganer (talk) 20:52, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Раз не спишь, пометь для перевода те переводимые страницы, которые я сейчас подправил в этой связи (Wikidata, Wikisource и снова Template:Project lists). --Kaganer (talk) 20:52, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Title of multilingual pages

Ni!

Regarding moves like this, would it not make a lot more sense if the "/pt" page was the redirect while the content remained in a page whose title actually means something for the people who read that language?

As one of the people who try to keep these translations up-to-date, I feel it is really bad for users when they can't understand the page title. I tried doing this, but it's really ugly visually and technically.

Best,

--Solstag (talk) 02:48, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I understand this problem, but this solution ("/pt" as redirect) can only be done if do not planned to migrate to a new translation system. After migration to use "Translate extension", page titles for translated pages was shown localized. See example - Global_sysops/pt. This look good to you? --Kaganer (talk) 07:35, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Hi Kaganer. It does look good! I did not know about that. How does it work, I mean, how would I assign the translated title? And can I migrate pages to already? Thanks a lot, --Solstag (talk) 04:42, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
Please wait some time. Until you can try it out on page Stewards/pt - please click "versão traduzida" above languages list and do manual import of old translations from this version for each string (and update it, if necessary). See also mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Translation_example.--Kaganer (talk) 06:09, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
I see, now I understand how this will work! Very nice. I have updated the translation for the Stewards page as you suggested. Thank you for the pointers =) I shall wait until those pages convert to the new translation system. Cheers, --Solstag (talk) 04:47, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
Done, your translation was imported into new system. See Founding_principles/pt. --Kaganer (talk) 11:46, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Translatable navigation template with parameters

Hi, I think it would be great to have a version of {{Translatable navigation template}} that supported a few (unnamed) parameters. It would work for {{Mw}} in Bot, and Special global permissions/Seealso in GR, for example. I see you wrote "If needed it can be expanded to include unnamed parameters". Do you think this is a good idea? πr2 (t • c) 20:49, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Maybe this is useful... Please test Template:Translatable navigation template/test, where supported three optional unnamed parameters. --Kaganer (talk) 22:44, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
It doesn't seem to be working on Global sysops (e.g., the bottom of Global sysops/es should transclude Special_global_permissions/Seealso/es and Template:User groups/en, but actually transcludes Special_global_permissions/Seealso/en and Template:User groups/es). πr2 (t • c) 23:04, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
This problem with Special global permissions/Seealso - this not a template. In my opinion, this page should be converted to template (by moving to "Template:" namespace as "Template:Seealso - Special global permissions"). --Kaganer (talk) 23:18, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Currently into Template:Translatable navigation template/test added supporting of the not-a-template includable pages. Global sysops/es look good ;) --Kaganer (talk) 23:25, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Translation

Hi, can you help me mark [4] for translation and keep the old French translations of Status of public works in France/fr and German ones of Status of public works in France/de? I tried, but it didn't work < Invalid message group >. Can you help? πr2 (t • c) 21:35, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

France version is cannot be a source. Please create English version under name Status of public works in France (instead redirect), and quietly mark it ;) --Kaganer (talk) 21:40, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
Does Extension allows marking as a source any language, but in meta it is setted to English only. Or Extension doesnt have such possibility at all? --Base (talk) 16:00, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
I don't know. Perhaps, this is setting; but this setting is globally configured to "English" as a source. --Kaganer (talk) 19:08, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Re: zh

I just copied it from https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikidata/Help/zh&oldid=5302689. I don't speak (or read) a single word/character or Chinese, so I could not tell whether it was written in the "zh-hans" or "hant". Maybe a native speaker can tell. πr2 (t • c) 17:15, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

I meant from [5], as I said in the edit summary. It seems to be on zh.wikipedia.org, not zh-hans.wikipedia or zh-hant.wikipedia. Does that mean it's ok to keep it at zh? πr2 (t • c) 17:23, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Please compare Help:Unified login/zh-hant and Help:Unified login/zh-hans. This is very visually differences. As general, all help texts from zh.wikipedia.org is written on Simple Chinese (zh-hans).
"/zh" code is ambiguation and don't use in the Wikimedia Projects as postfix for translation pages. We is systematically cleans old versions with "/zh" code (by renaming to /zh-hans, mainly). In this case, need to (1) unmark base page, (2) wait for affected, (3) rename /zh to /zh-hans (with supressing redirect; or with request to delete it), (4) after deletion - mark base page again. --Kaganer (talk) 19:06, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Done, I think. πr2 (t • c) 19:12, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Tagging Wikimedia Foundation

Is there anything I missed? Is it ready to be marked for translation? πr2 (t • c) 03:36, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

In my opinion, this page should be re-writed and re-ordered - before to start of translation. As example, table of projects is duplicate of sisterprojects template; project history is incomplete; etc. --Kaganer (talk) 18:46, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Removing from translation/unmarking

Hi Kaganer. To remove a page from translation, you must remove all <translate> tags, and go to Special:PageTranslation (click the "remove" from translation link). This is not the same as discouraging new translations. I have done this for Founding principles. πr2 (t • c) 03:04, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, I understood. --Kaganer (talk) 11:32, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
Also need to delete Mission/se (unrealistic to expect the translation; this was not deleted redirect to /sv). --Kaganer (talk) 11:34, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

OTRS...--Kaganer (talk) 13:29, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
  • Спасибо за совет. Учитывая нынешние российские строгости по поводу личных данных — видимо, Вы совершенно правы. На flabo.ru просьбу отправил. Подскажите теперь, как архивировать ссылки... — Олег Р. Вязьмитин (talk) 19:00, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
Вот-вот. Что касается архивации внешних ссылок - см. w:ru:Википедия:Использование WebCite. --Kaganer (talk) 19:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
Спасибо, вроде всё получилось. — Олег Р. Вязьмитин (talk) 05:29, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Fundraising translation feedback

Hey Kaganer,

I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback for Russian using This Link

Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Many Thanks

Lua code for Template:Translatable navigation template

Hello Kaganer. I wanted to let you know that I've written a Lua module to replace the current implementation of Template:Translatable navigation template. The current version doesn't work on pages like Tech/News/2013/21 because of the subpage check, which gives a false positive.

The new version is based on Module:Template translation. The new version fixes the issue with false positives (by checking that the subpage is an actual language code), and it's very easy to add support for more template parameters as well.

I've tested the Lua version thoroughly by checking that the results were good when I replaced TNT with User:Guillom/sandbox2, and I believe the Lua version has all the features of TNT. Since you've used TNT a lot, I wanted to check with you that I hadn't missed a use case.

Unless you see an issue, I'm going to copy the code at User:Guillom/sandbox2 to Template:Translatable navigation template, and I'm also thinking of renaming it to Template:Translatable template, since it's not only for navigation templates.

Let me know what you think :) Thanks. guillom 06:49, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Be bold, if you are sure ;) But problem with Tech/News/2013/21 are fixed ;)
A agree template renaming.
This template also used in the Wikidata and MediaWiki.org (and planned to use in the Commons). It's reasonable to change this same everywhere.--Kaganer (talk) 07:50, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
OK :) Thanks for fixing it. I'll change to use Lua on meta, and I'll leave a note on the other wikis as well. guillom 09:24, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Template:Localized media

Hi. The template documentation needs to be updated, I think. It tells: The template first checks if the name of the file contains a language code. But this not what the template does. The template first checks whether the page it is used on contains a language code. But it fails doing so, convince yourself:

{{#ifeq:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer|1|-1}}|{{#language:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer|1|-1}}}}|true|false}}

false

{{#ifeq:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer/de|1|-1}}|{{#language:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer/de|1|-1}}}}|true|false}}

false

This is because <nowki>{{#language:</nowiki> converts the title to lower case.

If it would do what it is supposed to, it would call |{{ {{{1}}} }}. This in turn again contradicts to the documentation which is stating If the page name does not contain a language code, [...] it will display the file with base filename. |{{ {{{1}}} }} will not display the file; it will instead try to transclude a page from the main namespace with the base filename (without file extension).

Could you fix the template and its documentation, please? Or do I miss a hidden feature here? Thanks in advance. -- Rillke (talk) 11:20, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Hmm. "lc:" prefix should be resolve comparision problem, not? See:
{{#ifeq:{{lc:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer|1|-1}}}}|{{#language:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer|1|-1}}}}|true|false}}

true

{{#ifeq:{{lc:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer/de|1|-1}}}}|{{#language:{{#titleparts:User talk:Kaganer/de|1|-1}}}}|true|false}}

false

First option as |{{ {{{1}}} }} was very strange (apparently I was insane :(). Template are fixed.--Kaganer (talk) 21:15, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. Very useful template, indeed. Also and especially at Commons. -- Rillke (talk) 21:48, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
See also another useful templates, used with Translate extension: {{LangCat}}, {{TNT}}, {{LL}}. And also wikidata:Template:Translation categories (with my last proposed fix) and {{Translate}}. --Kaganer (talk) 22:21, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
The documentation still says: "The template first checks if the name of the file contains a language code". -- Rillke (talk) 21:50, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Please feel free to fix this documentation (at the all from 4 multilang. projects synchronously);) --Kaganer (talk) 22:21, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Технические проблемы

Здравствуйте. Kaganer.

--Kaganer (talk) 08:07, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Если у тебя SUL, то авторизуйся в любом другом разделе Википедии (или вот здесь), и в че-вики эта авторизация тоже подействует. --Kaganer (talk) 08:18, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Да вы правы оказывается нельзя использовать символ / в названиях синонимов исправил и попросил на страницы поддержки обновить сайт в ручную надеюсь помогут на днях в газете статью напишут про чевики по этому для нас важно чтобы системы для входа и регистрации работало.
Как только будет публикация, обязательно расскажи об этом на стр. ru:Обсуждение проекта:Малые разделы Википедии на языках России. --Kaganer (talk) 15:47, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
--Kaganer (talk) 15:47, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi Kaganer, per bugzilla:48891#c34 Nikerabbit would like some examples of translatable pages with particularly complex syntax, e.g. many parser functions or other core/extension tags possibly nested, templates etc. Maybe one you had problems getting functional (without fatal errors). --Nemo 08:29, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Hmm... I have not encountered such problems lately. --Kaganer (talk) 10:52, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks from Blockly!

THANK YOU for your work translating Blockly into Russian. We're excited that all of Blockly has been translated into Russian (except for the index page, which is next).

We've added you to our list of contributors. Please let us know (on translatewiki) if you prefer to be credited in a different way.

Translation request

I am reaching out to people who have translated pages here at Meta-Wiki and Wikimedia Outreach to assist with translating pages at Wikimedia LGBT. If you are willing and able, any assistance would be appreciated. If not, I understand. Thanks for your consideration. --Another Believer (talk) 22:52, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

English/Russian translations

Dear Kagener,

I am contacting you to introduce myself. My name is Jessica Robell and I have recently joined the Wikimedia Foundation as a part of the fundraising team. My work will be focused to a large extent around translations. I am very interested in finding engaged Wikipedians, such as yourself, who would be interested in contributing with their time to translate shorter text from English to Russian. We have for example recently put up a 'Thank you letter' from the Wikimedia Foundation's ED Sue Gardner for translation, using the translation extension. You can find the letter here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Fundraising%2FTranslation%2FThank+you+email+20131202&language=ru&filter=translated&action=translate I would be most grateful to get your help to translate/proofread this letter in order to develop a quality translation in Russian.

Furthermore, in addition to using the translation extension, my aim is to develop a few personal contacts to whom I can reach out with potential questions regarding a particular word choice etc. As an engaged Wikipedia translator, I would be very interested in hearing your view on this.

Thank you very much for your support. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Jessica Robell Global Fundraising Coordinator Jrobell (talk) 12:23, 31 December 2013 (UTC)jrobell

Hi! Translation & proofreading of 'Thank you letter' is done. Cheers ;) --Kaganer (talk) 19:20, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Thanks from a fellow translator

Hey there, just wanted to give some thanks for updating the translation pages to accept variables now. It has been quite annoying since the last administrator marked the pages for translation, perhaps he did not understand the proper wiki markup for it, but neither he nor I realized the links could be replaced with variables; so what ended up happening was that in doing translations, I had to prefix everything with Special:MyLanguage, basically converting the translations into [[Special:MyLanguage/<pagename>|<translatedpagename>]] and it made my translations look poor. Anyway, great job on fixing up the translations so far, looks pretty good! TeleComNasSprVen (talk) 08:12, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

TM Policy Translation

Hi Kaganer! I want to thank you for the great work you have done on the translation of the new trademark policy. I also want to apologize in advance if any of the new modifications we are making detract from your commendable work, or otherwise fail to communicate the policy changes we are trying to document. Your help is greatly appreciated. --MOlin (WMF) (talk) 01:12, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

OK. But your (and previous translator) last changes of Trademark policy/summary/ru is not quite correct. I will change them. --Kaganer (talk) 11:08, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
And in Trademark policy/ru too... As example,
  • translation of "Chapters" (in the Wikimedia context) is not be "Низовые организации", but "Региональные организации" (for difference from thematic group and responding to their real purpose);
  • Russian localized name of "Wikibooks" is "Викиучебник", not "Викикниги".
  • etc.
This community consensus. See also Translation teams/ru/English-Russian Wikimedia Glossary. --Kaganer (talk) 11:23, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Great, thank you for your help using the localized Russian to help make the translations more accurate.--MOlin (WMF) (talk) 21:13, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Request for feedback on my GSoC'14 proposal

Hi Kaganer,

I am planning to work on the project titled "Tools for mass migration of legacy translated wiki content" this summer under Google Summer of Code. I have drafted a proposal for the same over the past few weeks. This project is going to help the translation adminstrators like you in a great way, as it would completely automate the tedious manual task of preparing a page for translation and then importing the translations into the Translate extension. You can check the proposal page for detailed information on how I plan to accomplish this.

As you would be an end user of this tool, it would be great if you could go through the proposal and provide feedback/suggestions. Your feedback would definitely help me improve the proposal as well help in creating an even better tool. You can do the same on the discussion page of the proposal or reply here, whichever is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!

P.S: I need to submit the proposal to Google by March 19, 2014.

BPositive (talk) 13:14, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

@BPositive: Good plan! I'm ready to be using this tool ;) See my small notes in the talkpage of this proposal.--Kaganer (talk) 00:21, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Translate some names for hundreds software projects including MediaWiki

Hello, I'm writing you because you subscribed to a Language support team. As you know, Wikimedia projects exist in almost 300 languages; supporting them all is a big effort so we partner with other organisations. One small but visible thing we miss is that many interwiki links in sidebar (among others) don't offer a translation of the language name when hovered. We're now able to translate 100 more language names in your language.

If you're interested, I can create you an account to submit translations on the CLDR web tool (within June 14): please send an email to ask one and I'll follow up with instructions. On CLDR you can translate and tweak many other things, if you desire; your work will impact hundreds of software projects. Thanks, Nemo 17:58, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

tvar in templates

Hi, Kaganer, long time no see! About this edit – there is an unfortunate bug that makes tvars not work properly in templates. They work fine for translations, but on the /en subpages they are visible in plaintext and break whatever link syntax surrounds it. I think bugzilla:48891 is the relevant bug. So, even though I would've loved to use it there to save translators time, it's not possible currently without breaking the English pages (and since those are the ones most people see that's kind of frowned upon). Jon Harald Søby (talk) 20:54, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

@Jon Harald Søby: Yes, I forgot about this error, but this effect disappears after the next change of source text (see in this case). Usually to eliminate this bad effect is made "null-edit" change, but sometimes I forget this. I'm sorry. However, there is no reason to abandon the "tvar" in templates. --Kaganer (talk) 09:19, 6 May 2014 (UTC) I revert your change, and curent version is look good (after null-editing). --Kaganer (talk) 09:28, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Oh, I was not aware of that. That's great news, actually, but it's very important (especially so for pages used in the Grants namespace) that we always double- and triplecheck that it works properly – not only on the template itself, but also on the pages it's used on. Right now the template looks bad on Grants:IEG/en, but luckily that's a non-issue because there isn't a reason people would be visiting that version instead of just Grants:IEG (nothing links to the /en version). Jon Harald Søby (talk) 09:49, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
PS! That {{ping}} template doesn't work – I get notifications when you just spell "[[User:....]]", but I didn't get one when that template was used. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 09:47, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Dear Jon Harald Søby, Grants:IEG/en was broken because incorrect direct editing of Translations:Grants:IEG/7/en by 205.197.213.235. Please see improvement --Kaganer (talk) 10:45, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
About {{ping}} - ok, thanks. --Kaganer (talk) 10:45, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Ooh, great detective work. I didn't think it was possible to edit those /en subpages. Need to keep an eye out for that, then. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 22:44, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Please test the new feature Special:PageMigration

As a Google Summer of Code Intern, I have been working on the Mass Migration tools project for Wikimedia. We are now ready with a minimal working product. The tool helps translators and translation administrators import the old translations into the Translate Extension.

An instance of the same has been set up on labs. You can find some useful instructions on the main page.

Please test the tool and report bugs/suggestions using the link provided on the main page itself. You can have a look at the tracking bug to check already reported bugs.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Cheers. BPositive (talk) 14:33, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Вопрос по переводам

Добрый день, Павел! Я хочу перевести несколько страниц, которые не размечены для перевода (типа List of articles every Wikipedia should have/Expanded).

List of articles every Wikipedia should have и её подстраницы - это ни к чему (ну или я не вижу, зачем это следует делать). Но если очень хочется, обсуди эту идею, пожалуйста, предварительно, на стр. обсуждения этого списка. --Kaganer (talk) 21:31, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
--Kaganer (talk) 10:21, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Силу лени я бы всё-таки тоже не недооценивал. AstroNomer-ru (talk) 14:57, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
Кстати, Lua и интеграция с викидатой на мете подключены?--Abiyoyo (talk) 08:07, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Lua - да. Про интеграцию - не уверен. --Kaganer (talk) 10:21, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Большое спасибо! Про викиданные, я кажется, выяснил (wikidata:Wikidata:Project chat#Integration of Wikidata with Meta-wiki). Планы такие есть, можно этот вопрос потихоньку разрабатывать, хотя пока там есть технические препятствия.--Abiyoyo (talk) 10:47, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Source

Sunpriat (talk) 20:26, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

Не у кого спрашивать. Это полностью наше внутреннее дело. Я считаю, что значение "sourse (software)" в данном случае вообще не важно. Есть термин "викитекст", именно к нему эта команда относится. Так что должно быть просто "Править викитекст". --Kaganer (talk) 21:14, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Как оказалось вики-текст. Приглашаю на голосование, которое нанётся в понедельник.Sunpriat (talk) 09:04, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

Please consider not translating the privacy policy in protest

Hi Kaganer, I have just noticed that you've been working on the translation of the privacy policy yesterday.

I wanted to ask you to consider refraining from translating those pages as a means of protest against the recent actions of the Wikimedia Foundation. On Sunday, they have implemented a change that gives them a unilateral and unlimited power to protect certain pages on Wikimedia wikis in a manner that makes it impossible for all volunteers — including locally elected administrators — from editing them.

The change was secretly forced through without any community consultation, and the Foundation have used this new feature to actively fight the volunteer community of the German Wikipedia.

Your volunteer translations directly help the work of the Foundation. Your work helps them save time and effort that they would otherwise have to invest in recruiting, training and managing new employees, and saves them money they would otherwise have to spend on professional translations.

The recent actions of the Wikimedia Foundation make it very clear that they no longer respect the wishes of the volunteer community, and that they no longer consider us an equal partner. The least we can do to voice our dismay at those actions, and to support our colleagues on the German Wikipedia, is to stop investing our precious time as volunteers on directly helping the Wikimedia Foundation.

Please take a minute to consider withdrawing your help for the Foundation in protest against their unbecoming treatment of the volunteer community of the German Wikipedia.

Thank you for your time and your consideration! odder (talk) 20:53, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

Dear odder, thanks for notice. I knew nothing about it. But what was the cause of the conflict? Does it happen only because WMF wants enable MediaViewer by default, and the community of de-wp is opposed to this? If so, this reason is unworthy, and WMF has gone the wrong way. Or is it about some filtration media content from WMF? I don't see global discussion about this...--Kaganer (talk) 23:26, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
@Kaganer: This is exactly what's happening here. I'm heading for bed in a minute, so please read Requests for comment/Superprotect rights for more information. There is also a discussion happening on the Wikimedia-l and Wikitech-l mailing lists if you'd like to get even more views on the situation. Thanks, odder (talk) 00:00, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, I have already found RfC. I informed the community of Ru-WP about this unfortunate incident. --Kaganer (talk) 00:18, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
