Hello! Myself Tulsi Bhagat humbly requesting for regular adminship here on metawiki for a number of reasons. Translation admins (I am one of them) cannot delete translation units without being a regular admin, and I am active in requesting deletion of translation units time to time as well as patrolling recent changes. I've noticed this is favourite place of LTAs, and helping hands are always appreciated. I wasn't supposed to request for admin now, but 95.208.0.0/16 enforces me to do it today. I wanna be prepared and/or ready with the tools to fight with them whenever they appear again. As you may already know, I am a GR and an administrator on the Wikimedia Commons, MediaWiki, Maithili & Nepali Wikipedia. I am active on various IRC channels, and has keen interest in monitoring cross-wiki for vandals, spam or LTAs. Additionally, My language skills (ne-N, mai-N, en-3, hi-2, bh-2 and hif-2) and timezone UTC+5.45 will surely benefit. Definitely, I will assist in housekeeping tasks and creating vandal free Meta-Wiki. I hope the community would give me chance to serve here.

Thank you for your understanding! Kind regards, — Tulsi Bhagat (contribs | talk) 16:37, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Support Support Of course! Trusted user, already Global rollbacker, OTRS member and sysop on many projects. It is also active in SWMT. - MrJaroslavik (talk) 17:11, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Support Support Sure, per above.. Aνδρέας talk | contributions 17:23, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Support Support meta adminship should be granted on request to any sysop on a mid-sized or larger project that is reasonably active here. Tulsi meets this as a sysop on commons. I see no reason not to grant. TonyBallioni (talk) 03:10, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  14. Oppose Oppose I cannot in good faith support the candidacy of someone who was blocked from January 2017 to January 2018 on this wiki for abusing multiple accounts. I am also not very happy that this wasn't disclosed. --Rschen7754 19:35, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  15. Support Support --Novak Watchmen (talk) 20:16, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  16. Oppose Oh my. I want to add to the above-mentioned oppose reasons that the candidate was even globally locked for a time. --MF-W 22:18, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you still on that point? He has been improved since then. He got GR, Commons admin and OTRS membership recently without any concerns. (Re: Rschen7754) He has disclosed that lock in these 3 requests, I don't think he has to disclose that again after 3 successful requests. -- CptViraj (📧) 02:12, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
He was globally locked for creating accounts, doing vandalism, and then reporting them to "build his resume" so to speak. While he has improved since then, there are certain things that I view as a lifetime disqualification for advanced rights. While I hope he will not return to what he did in the past, if he did start this sort of deception again, it would be devastating because they have access to abusefilters, blocks, and the critical global spam and title blacklists (and for what it is worth, I suspect WMF would now issue a global ban to any such user who did this with this many sysop rights - but there are the privacy issues as well). --Rschen7754 07:01, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    Why should I not? I don't see any improvement except ever-increasing hat-collecting. --MF-W 19:23, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  17. Oppose Oppose Not now but not never. Tulsi seems to have greatly improved, however I concur with MF-W and Rschen for the time being. --Eurodyne (talk) 11:46, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  18. I would like to Support Support this request because Tusi has not only proved himself to this entire Wikipedia community but also shows improvement in his skill by forgetting the past mistakes he had done before. He is active these days and looking into his recent activities seems absolute class. Thanks--Biplab Anand (Talk) 15:43, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  19. Support Support Tulsi has been actively doing some on-wiki stuffs. His continuous efforts for Wikimedia should not go unnoticed. As rightly said by Rick Warren, "We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it". The past is dead. Let's bury the hatchet and be hopeful of the good future. --Sandeep Raut (talk) 18:51, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This is a quote horribly taken out of context. If someone robs a bank, I agree that we shouldn't keep them in jail forever, but no way do I want them to work for any job in the financial sector. --Rschen7754 00:37, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Rschen7754, I already knew you gonna oppose, and I've decided not to promote controversy and replying to oppose before placing the request but unfortunately I am here. So, you clearly mean to say that I should not be here and editing on the WMF projects? Fine. I don't wanna bother anymore. I will gladly resign and announce my retirement if community entirely would okay with it. Nice to meet you! Kind regards, — Tulsi Bhagat (contribs | talk) 04:31, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This is a gross overreaction. I'm afraid that I can't trust you to be an administrator, but there is more to WMF projects than being an administrator (hint: writing content). --Rschen7754 04:54, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your view, and I am okay with it. I believe everyone has their own view, and I do respect it. As you hinted me, please see User:Tulsi Bhagat/List of activities: I did #100wikidays, 7HumanRightsWikiDays and involved in various writing and/or other outreach activities. The thing is that i don't wanna be limited to that only. I consider myself to be limitless. I wanna do as more as i can, and i am doing it in right way. Yeah, people stumbled sometimes it doesn't mean that we sanction them for whole life. We need to be refresh/reset and move on taking new steps every second even if it is hard to take. I understand change is the rule of life, and those who look only to the past is seriously missing the best things to be happen in future. Kind regards, — Tulsi Bhagat (contribs | talk) 05:22, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  20. Support Support Just about. I see no issue with your rapid promotion, but how many can you handle? That being said, you should have disclosed your past history, though I disagree with Rschen7754's concerns on the other hand. Leaderboard (talk) 05:50, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Leaderboard, Thank you for the trust, support and love. It means a lot to me. As you said "but how many can you handle?", I wanna say that without going through the established removal policy, please feel free to request for removal of my right whenever you and/or someone think(s) i am inactive and not using it. I will gladly support it. Kind regards, — Tulsi Bhagat (contribs | talk) 06:05, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
