I'm using this page as a demo for how to link to an advertisement. If I were really adverting on a WMF project, I would have to say that I placed this ad in the article xyz and was paid by company efg. Smallbones (talk) 14:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

2014 FDC self-nominationEdit
Hello, Smallbones! Thank you very much for submitting your nomination to join the Funds Dissemination Committee. I am working with the Board representatives to the FDC on the FDC nominations process. As you know, the public question and answer period is now underway. Please do review the questions and respond to them as you are able. If you are selected for an interview, kindly note that interviews will be held the week of the 23rd June and the 30th, if necessary. If the Board appoints you to the FDC, we will be holding orientation for members prior to Wikimania on August 6 and 7 in London. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out to me on my Talk page or at FDCsupport@wikimedia.org. Once again, thank you very much for putting yourself forward as a candidate for the FDC! KLove (WMF) (talk) 23:54, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
FDC Election QuestionEdit
Given the short time frame before the election starts I just wanted to let you know that a question was asked of all FDC candidates on the Candidate question page. If you want to respond you can do so by editing that section and adding your response after the = sign next to your name. The question section will remain open (both for questions and responses) throughout the election and is linked from the voting interface so that voters can read it if they wish.
Thanks again for choosing to run and for your willingness to serve the community. As always please let me or any member of the committee know if you have questions throughout the process.Jalexander--WMF 06:26, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Inspire Campaign on content curation & reviewEdit
I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.
All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is welcome - your skills and experience can help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign to improve review and curation tasks so that we can make our content more meaningful and accessible! I JethroBT (WMF) 05:39, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your participation in IdeaLab during the Inspire Campaign focused on improving content curation & review processes from February to March 2016. I'm interested in hearing your feedback about your participation during campaign, so if you're able, I invite you to complete this brief survey to describe how you contributed to the campaign and how you felt about participating.
Immediate results of the campaign can be found here. Please feel free to review them and let me know if you have any questions about the campaign or the survey. Thanks! I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 02:31, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.
Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign so that we can work together to develop ideas around this important and difficult issue. With thanks,
Note that your personal attacks were moved from an IdeaLab Grants page to the Talk page, due to Friendly Space expectations. Remove this notice if it disturbs you, but don't restore your commentary to the IdeaLab Grants page. - Thekohser (talk) 13:40, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Survey on Inspire Campaign for addressing harassmentEdit
Thanks for your participation during the Inspire Campaign focused on addressing harassment from June 2016. I'm interested in hearing your experience during the campaign, so if you're able, I invite you to complete this brief survey to describe how you contributed to the campaign and how you felt about participating.
There has been a request to inform all who voted in the RfC about interlinking accounts involved with paid editing about the following adjustment in the "statement of issue" on Sept 18th, 2017.
It was clarified that this effort will help deal not only with impersonation of specific Wikipedians but also claims of being in good standing made by those who are not. Thanks. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:59, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Help design a new feature to stop harassing emailsEdit
The Anti-Harassment Tools team plans to start develop of a new feature to allow users to restrict emails from new accounts. This feature will allow an individual user to stop harassing emails from coming through the Special:EmailUser system from abusive sockpuppeting accounts.
It is important to hear from a broad range of people who are interested in the design of the tool, so we hope you join the discussion.

I believe (but not many here share my views), that many wikipedians interested in financial/business matters have been run off en.wikipedia. More so than other types of wikipedians :-) Ottawahitech (talk) 00:09, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
On this, the article is indeed authored by me. As far as trusting it, I suppose people can always just consider the sources linked by the source, just like Wikipedia. Should you not be able to get the link white-listed you can always link it indirectly by posting this or something.--The Devil's Advocate (talk) 16:53, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
User reporting system consultationEdit
You are receiving this message because you have previously created or commented on an idea related to reporting harassment; and may have an interested in giving feedback about a new initiative to develop a user reporting system.
The Wikimedia Foundation's Community health initiative plans to design and build a new user reporting system to make it easier for people experiencing harassment and other forms of abuse to provide accurate information to the appropriate channel for action to be taken.
The success of this project depends on collecting ideas and feedback from people in a variety of different roles in the Wikimedia movement. To this end, there will be a multi-phased consultation where you can participate in ways that you find most comfortable.
Please visit the User reporting system consultation page to learn more about the process, to ask questions, or to offer feedback. You also can sign up to be be a liaison for you group, to translate pages or messages, or to host a discussion group (on or off wiki.)
Please share this message with other people who you think would be interested in this project.

New proposals in aftermath of Fram banEdit
Hi Smallbones, As part of the wiki-untouchable-caste I would love to post a reply to the thread re. three high-ranking users at The Signpost. Unfortunately I am not permitted to edit any part of the en-Wikipedia, so I am posting here instead.
Yes, it is unfortunate that there are now some Users who are equal more than others, but the practice of treating some Users as worth less than others has a long and proud history on en-wikipedia. When I tried to tackle this issue on a wikiproject talkpage back in 2013 (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=531805067), my posting was reverted (twice) with an edit summary " removing unrelated crap". A "popular" Admin showed up on my talkpage to warn me against trying to re-instate my post.
I did manage to hang in for almost ten years, and most of my 75,000 edit donations have been accepted, in spite of being called a spammer, a troll, a vandal, and other uncomplimentary names. I was ignored by most other Users, and the few that came to my defense, ended up being in trouble themsleves. I hope you will take your time, before removing this comment. Others who had visited and posted to my talkpage on en-wikipedia before I became an untouchable, are now asking me to stop using their talkpages. Ottawahitech (talk) 18:50, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
just as a little correction, statue taken down on juneteenth June 19, around 11 p.m. , park service cleaning up trash next day, less important. cheers. Slowking4 (talk) 12:06, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
