New option on interproject links
editHi, thanks for participating in the RFC for interproject links. There is a new option that might be interesting to explore. Please check Dropdown next to title 1 and Dropdown next to title 2. They are part of Option 5.--Micru (talk) 14:33, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
--Nemo 12:23, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
Wikisource User Group
editHi Andrea. In my opinion, your anwers are enough and satisfactory. The only pending issue is about the name of your UG, we're waiting for the opinion of the Legal team. By my side I'll recommend the recognition of your UG as new affilliate. Congrats! Salvador (WMMX) (talk) 22:39, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
- Hi :-) I like your Wikisource community poll. I can translate it and ask my wikisource friends to fulfill it. But I don't know what to do next... Where's the place the answers should be given back? Where can we read another users answers? When are you planning to close gathering informations and start to give us a summary?
- I'd joined the UG group, but I've some problems with contacting the rest of us ;-) I'm a new Wikisource user and I don't undestand the rules and associacions of each wiki projects, yet. But I think it would be great to choose one day of each month which we can talk on IRC... Greetings from Poland :-) Wieralee (talk) 00:38, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
- I was trying to join to the Wikisource mailing list. Everything seems to work - till the moment I should receive a mail. Any mail hadn't come, unless I was trying to pass it for three times :( So bye, my Wikisource Group. Wieralee (talk) 22:58, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Wikisource conference
editCiao, I have taken some time to reply to check my physical condition. I had an accident with my scooter at the end of October and I am still doing physiotherapy. There is a training session in Berlin with WM CH the days after Wikisource Conference and I should stay at least one week without these therapies. For this reason I will not attend the Wikisource Conference to don't miss my recovery's session for long time. --Ilario (talk) 15:31, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

Inspire Campaign on content curation & review
editI've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.
All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is welcome - your skills and experience can help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign to improve review and curation tasks so that we can make our content more meaningful and accessible! I JethroBT (WMF) 05:39, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.
Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign so that we can work together to develop ideas around this important and difficult issue. With thanks,

2016 Community Wishlist Survey
editHi,
You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.
The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

The Wikimedia movement strategy core team and working groups have completed reviewing the more than 1800 thematic statements we received from the first discussion. They have identified 5 themes that were consistent across all the conversations - each with their own set of sub-themes. These are not the final themes, just an initial working draft of the core concepts.
You are invited to join the online and offline discussions taking place on these 5 themes. This round of discussions will take place between now and June 12th. You can discuss as many as you like; we ask you to participate in the ones that are most (or least) important to you.
Here are the five themes, each has a page on Meta-Wiki with more information about the theme and how to participate in that theme's discussion:
- Healthy, Inclusive Communities
- The Augmented Age
- A Truly Global Movement
- The Most Respected Source of Knowledge
- Engaging in the Knowledge Ecosystem
On the movement strategy portal on Meta-Wiki, you can find more information about each of these themes, their discussions, and how to participate.

We just finished our very first open call with the user group members, which was a great success (see the meeting minutes).
