- Hi, I request the right to be able to flag content to translate. Actually, I am part of the Wikimedians of Tamazight User Group and Wikimedia Algeria and other contests, MOOC's and projects. We decided to translate all the content into different Languages. As the content may evolve quickly, I would like to be able to translate directly the new content without waiting that a translation admin tags the new content. In addition, I am already translator on my site that use Wiki [1] so I have some experience about the translation system. --Reda Kerbouche (talk) 08:47, 19 August 2018 (UTC)

- Question: Have a look here, Is the addition of translation tags are okay, why? And if not okay, why? Regards, — TBhagat (contribs | talk) 06:14, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Tulsi Bhagat for the translation preparation all is good, there was tags (<translate>content to translate</translate>) for each part you want to translate. but adding the unit markers (
<!--T:1-->
) manually is bad. It is done automatically by the software. I hope I answered your question, Regards. --Reda Kerbouche (talk) 12:51, 21 August 2018 (UTC)- Sorry Reda Kerbouche, But I'm not really convinced with your answer. Please read again the mentioned documentations carefully. As per stated here, The translation tagging here is not okay. Regards, — TBhagat (contribs | talk) 14:20, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Ok i will do that now. thank you.--Reda Kerbouche (talk) 14:29, 21 August 2018 (UTC)

- Also (Kaganer and Base will correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think it is okay to put the translate tags inside the section headings (ie:
== <translate>Online and Offline Events</translate> ==
). We wrap the whole section with the translate tags (it works both ways a.f.a.i.k. though). Thanks, —MarcoAurelio (talk) 13:53, 21 August 2018 (UTC)- +1 MarcoAurelio, You're right. As per this documentation, It is not okay to put the translation tags like i did here. Regards, — TBhagat (contribs | talk) 14:09, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oups I did not pay attention to "==" sorry. I knew it,--Reda Kerbouche (talk) 14:19, 21 August 2018 (UTC)

- Reda Kerbouche, please give us a link to a page which you have prepared for translation or prepare a page for translation, if you haven't done so. Matiia (talk) 00:30, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

- @Reda Kerbouche: do you know how to use <tvar>? I don't see that you used one there. We don't add the images inside a translate tag, we only add the translatable text inside the translate tag or we use <tvar> tags for the name of the image (it depends the case). Links (specially external ones) should use <tvar> too. Matiia (talk) 15:53, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Reda Kerbouche: hi? Matiia (talk) 17:18, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Reda Kerbouche: Are you still interested in obtaining this permission? Matiia's point is very important. --Vogone (talk) 18:45, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Vogone: of course. @Matiia: now I know this thank you.--Reda Kerbouche (talk) 15:30, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Reda Kerbouche: please prepare a page for translation having the things above mentioned into account. Matiia (talk) 22:51, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
