Hello, I am with Meta wiki for close to 2 years. In this period of time, I had been doing mainly maintenance work, such as tagging pages for deletion, and up to now I have around 600 deleted edits. I also frequently rollback vandals and report them for blocking. In addition, I had been involving in patrolling of edits here, and had around 3600 patrols and requesting for autopatrol rights for various users. For sysop experience, I was a sysop for Chinese Wikiversity for 260 days leaving due to personal issues. I did close to 700 sysop actions within the 260+ days ranging from deletion, protection as well as some minor Abuse Filter modifications as well as Mediawiki editing. I am also a Global Rollbacker with close to 600 edits in various small wikis or wikis in which I don't speak their language.

I know that meta sysop is one of the most critical areas of WMF wikis operation, as Meta hosts the critical spam/title blacklists as well as the various global filters. What I can offer is the normal janitoral areas, and I will take exceptional caution not to touch these unless I am confident and I will seek advice before proceeding. I expect I will be using the tools to block, protect, delete as well as grant userrights. After having more confident in the rest of the toolkit, I will then hope to help out in other aspects. I will take care not to break anything and consult if needed.

Lastly, as of activity. I am of the view that tools are not hats and if I am inactive for a period of time, I will ask to remove my flag. I hope for support in this. Thanks for the community to consider. --Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 12:35, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese Wikiversity, compared to Wikipedia, is such a small community, and I suppose adminship on zhwikiversity has little influence on the candidate's experience; his contribs to that community after coming back this month are restricted to welcoming newcomers and archiving Vlg pump. Experience has little to do with length of adminship -- there have been admins on zhwiki editing every a couple of months to keep "active" and their hat from being scrapped. For activity: Cohaf left zhwiki and zhwikiversity in Sept. w/o a single word and left WP:DC behind despite he was one of the judges, before restarting at Meta and simple WP. Who knows if he leaves Meta one day without a msg to others? I don't have need to type more since my Oppose has no impact on this process. Cohaf, if you ARE elected, 苟富贵勿相忘. - Just to be clear, I am just saying I have experience with the tools with the zhwikiversity sysop-ship. As of why I left without a single word, I didn't. I did voluntarily and immediately resign all my rights in zhwp and zhwikiversity, former is patroller and rollbacker and later is sysopship. As said in my nomination, I will not hold on to rights, if I forsee I will be busy or other personal stuffs crop up, I will give up the mop on my own. For DC (which is like WikiCup, I did inform the judges with the intention of not been active in the last few days of the competition in a Judges only Group on Telegram.
- All in all, I forsee this opposition even before this nomination. I will reiterate my promise to the community, if elected, I will make sure that if I am going to a hiatus I will ask to be removed of rights and will not wait for confirmation signings. This is the promise I give to all.
- And for this particular user, they tried to reach out to me on the last few days before I decided to leave, this is their message. Comment the first oppose by User:Super Wang doesn't make any sense, just because he decide to retire from the project and no longer write any content you oppose? it doesn't make any sense since he still understood what sysop button represents and know how it works. Now for the second opposition by User:蟲蟲飛 is even more confusing, the fact you can't even understand why you are rejected to become OTRS member already said everything, your link even point out everybody don't agree with you, and what makes it worse, even you are in the wrong camouflaged mirage still apologize for it. Those link instead proving camouflaged mirage mistake, it proves your mistake instead. - - I just want to point out two things. One is that candidate has repeatedly deleted other people's messages; the second is that candidate has hurt me by making false statements, and the candidate has also certified this and apologized to me.     - I recalled we have many talkpage discussions with this, some of which is liked by them. I am not sure what this constant opening of closed cases lead to. For movement of comments, I responded at OTRS also. For your 2 diffs, 1st one is when you want to change a comment someone responded to, you need to strike rather than just change. For second, if you duplicate vote, you don't use the deltalk template. These are clear zhwp policies. - As a response to the above concerns of inactivity, I will add that I will ensure sufficient activity. I will also add in a so called recall which rather than the meta requirements of 10 logged actions / 6 months. I will reduce it to 3 months. Other provisions in the activity recall will still apply.   - That shouldn't be necessary. This is a volunteer role and Meta already has quite strict activity standards. If you end up getting adminship and immediately disappearing, there is really no downside to the project, but every potential upside if you do stick around and do good work.
