Ready for translation: VisualEditor News #4—2015
Hi! This is an invitation to join translators working on the August's issue of the VisualEditor multilingual newsletter, which will be widely delivered at the end of this workweek. Among other things, this month it features the names of the top contributors for the recent VisualEditor 2nd Translathon. Thanks a lot for your support, as usual! Elitre (WMF), 16:49, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
- PS: Here are some instructions. Please go to the translation page: your language should be available from the drop-down menu on the right. Once you've selected it, you'll see the document in English side by side with any translation work already done in your language. You can add new translations or modify existing ones.
- PPS: We are maintaining a list of editors who have worked on VE-related content (such as newsletters). We only use it to notify them of translation opportunities, to make sure they don't miss Translathons, etc. If you would like messages like this one to be delivered on your talk page at a different WMF project, need any help with translations related to VisualEditor or would like to remove your name from that list, please contact me directly.

Little help for a translation
Hi, you supported our tool and it is almost ready. AlessioMela has refined many details, and we're going to upload the data from wikidata soon. They are a huge amount so we have to preeselct a country now or the system collapses. The button that select the cuntry from your location is not ready, and Nepal gives an error message, but we are trying to fix those before September.
In the mean time, since you speak some "minor" languages, would like to give us some translation? I've tanslated the main text in en in it, fr,sv,de,pt,es but I welcome any nw langugages, especially for Asia.
Here is the text, maybe we will add something about the country selection mechanism (but it is very intuitive). So if you can translate in mai/ne we can add it.
Many Wikipedia articles have no images or only few. Some of them talk about things that are out there, ready to be photographed. Find them all!
Instructions
- Use the top-left button to adjust the zoom or double click into the map. You can also click on a cluster near the location you want to explore.
- Use the top-right button to filter pinpoints by category.
- Use the bottom-right button to go to your current position.
- Pass over a pinpoint to see its name. Make a click for more details and links.
Take pictures and upload them to Wikimedia Commons, then resolve the related warning (e.g. removing the template in its page or adding the image to Wikidata) and at the next run you will see the pinpoint disappear. Great job!
For any trouble or suggestion write on this page. This is an open source project! Let's code together in this Github repository.
The tool updates the view once a day. Please be patient, it takes a while to load all the data.
Thanks in advance... we'll inform you when the final version is ready.--Alexmar983 (talk) 10:02, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
