Board elections/Results

Supplementary messages

I noticed that you translated the fundraiser's core messages into Piemontèis (pms), thank you for your help! Although the fundraiser is over, your translation work will still be used until next November (when we get new forms).

Editor Appeals Need Translations

I want to thank you for your help translating during this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the appeals from Wikipedia editors Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà need to be translated and localized. Also some core messages need to be updated for certain languages. Un'idea da esplorare

Ciao! Conosci Affiliations Committee? Si tratta dell'organismo che gestisce il riconoscimento dei "capitolI" (come WMI) ma anche degli user groups, che sono molto più semplice da formare e hanno obblighi minori, ma rappresentano un riconoscimento a suo modo. Recentemente continuo a ricevere richieste di pungolare WMI su tematiche come le lingue minori e con altri via mail ho pensato... ma se si facesse un user group? E adesso sto chiedendo in giro.

Ha un valore identitario, un valore politico (dimostra compattezza) e in parte anche istituzionale, perché è un soggetto della galassia wikimedia. Ora nessun gruppo può avere senso con pochi aderenti ma se si coordinano le forze un gruppo sulle "minoranze linguistiche" si può fare. Non necessariamente italiano, anzi. L'idea è partita dai reto-romanci che stanno anche in Svizzera, e molte delle wiki "minori" si supportano a vicenda. basta aprire la loro home page! Quindi la mia idea sarebbe partire dalle utenze "italiane" che conosco come base solida, ma allargarsi a tutte le minoranze in teoria. Sarebbe un gruppo trasversale ma utile a punzecchiare tutti i capitoli nazionali soprattuto quelli poco inclini al multinguismo (Francia, Italia, Peasi Bassi...) a tutelare le loro realtà. Potrebbe portare opinioni "politiche" a WMF come attenzione nel programma di grant alle loro attività... evitare che progetti come wikidata siano "sperimentati" su wiki minori senza tenere conto delle loro esigenze... adattare l'uso dei bot dove serve senza essere usati come cavie per la creazione di voci, anzi sviluppare un know-how che non debba essere imprestato dalle sorelle maggiori. Senza contare l'analisi costi/benefici fra piattaforme in lingua e plurilingua (tipo i testi in dialetto che finisco su piattaforme "nazionali" per mancanza di manodopera, la mancanza di lingue locali nell'irrobustimento di wikidata e adesso anche dei dati strutturati su commons).A volte anche un link in una mailing list su un progetto utile o non utile può aiutare a far dire la propria. Io leggo così tante cose, cerco sempre un modo efficiente di comunicarle. poi ci sono i bandi esterni, ci sono bandi interessanti sulle minoranze linguisitiche che wikimedia non intercetta bene. Anche avere tutela giuridica in un bando europeo aiuta eccome.

Quante cose che mi vengono solo a scriverne... insomma l'idea è solo embrionale, forse non ingranerà mai ma qualcuno se la sente di provarci?--Alexmar983 (talk) 12:37, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Penso che il mio fiuto non abbia fatto cilecca sulle possibilità ma... altri hanno fiutato. Infatti è spuntato fuori questo. Nel senso che ho ricevuto una mail tre ore dopo averti scritto o giù di lì. Ora per farla breve i progetti locali possono scegliere se andare verso questo gruppo "wiki minori italiane" o restare sulla mia idea. Io preferisco la mia idea, è più neutrale e segue di più l'interazione naturale che vedo fra molte piattaforme. Ma se pensi che preferiate andare in quella direzione... Secondo me il mio suggerimento di fare un gruppo "scuola" per valirizzare wikiversità e wikidia è più mirato ma si sa, beata "gioventù" :D Dal punto di vista delle lingue un gruppo "europeo" la vedo molto meglio come livello di influenza. Soprattutto perché tante lingue dal ladino al veneto all'occitano "sconfinano". Mi sembra una collocazione più "neutrale" come impostazione. conosco abbastanza profili su wiki varie che saltano da una lingua minore all'altra, c'era pure un professore in Svizzera qualche tempo fa attivo in wiki minori. insomma i sembrerebbe più corretta la mia idea, perché anche oltre la solita dicotomia Italiano-dialetto, che abbiamo tutto l'interesse a abbadnonare. Ma lascerò un messaggio in qualche luogo di coordinamento e decideremo il da farsi. Certo che pensavo a quello. Certo anche limitatamente alla penisola italiano l'user group è "solido" e non toglierebbe spesso nemmeno soci a WMI visto che molti di voi con WMI ci collaborano poco. Ma io davvero punto a andare a livello "europeo". Mi sembra molto più interessante. per esempio discutere di sperimentazioni su wiki minori con cognizione di causa. O richiedere uno spazio specifico a wikimania dove almeno qualcuno può andare. Pensa se chiedessimo un grant per organizzare un festival delle wiki minori europee. Oppure bussare alla porta di un'istituto di filologia che magari ha più soldi in Germania che in Italia. pIù ci penso più credo che provare a dare una veste "europea" al gruppo sia una mossa intelligente. I catalani hanno fatto questa Wikimedia_thematic_organizations/it#what, per evitare sovrapposizioni geopolitiche, ma credo che un user group vada bene. Loro sono un caso assai diverso.
