Welcome to Meta!
Hello DerekvG, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing! Wutsje 17:36, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Fyi, I've reverted these edits, because they won't make any difference anymore: the decision for Gdansk is already made. Wutsje 17:36, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Fundraising translation feedback
Hey DerekvG,
I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.
To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback for Dutch using This Link
Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.
Many Thanks

Welcome to the Grant Advisory Committee
Hi Derek,
Thanks for signing up to join the Grant Advisory Committee! It is my pleasure to confirm your membership. We've got a lot to accomplish together and it will be awesome to have your help. Here's how to get started:
To make your membership official, please do two things by January 23rd.
- Introduce yourself in the IdeaLab.
- Send your email address and preferred username to awang wikimedia.org, so that I can subscribe you to the committee mailing list.
Then there are two initial tasks for active committee members to start on right away:
- Read the information in the Committee Workroom (your committee organizing hub on meta), beginning with the getting started guide for new members.
- Start reviewing open ideas, drafts and proposals to familiarize yourself with current and past discussions. Feel free to comment now or wait until we've done orientation.
I will be sending out an orientation email to new members this coming week, so please keep an eye out!
Thanks again for joining us to help make impactful Project and Event Grants :-) Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 01:16, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, I will take this action before monday --DerekvG (talk) 11:42, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
Where did it move to?
Hi Derek, [1] where did you move this and why? I do not know where 'project discussion' is. The main page says that feedback should be posted on that talk page. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 15:33, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Mr Zeiksnor claims/ed (imho falsely) that he's a wikimedia belgium "volunteer", Wikimedia Belgium has a "community forum here " and has project pages here (with its own discussion page where wikimedia belgium volunteers can discuss the development of the project, make suggestions, and contribute or volunteer to take on activites ( mr Z has never volunteered for any activitiy or to help with any action in a project program. Mr Z. has himself said in other comments that things should eb discussed on the community forum, and questioned the WMBE volunteers loyalty when they posted a grant request ( accordign to him without consulting the community forum , so as that was - for mr Z. - a valid comment I put his comment where according to his own comments it should be made . Moreover his comments are obnoxius and are intented to damage wikimedia belgium and its volunteers, and to undermine and trust or confidence build up by the WMDE volunteers in the international community, to be disruptive, and they have no itention whatsoever to be constructive or collaborative, or to make a valid contribution, the comment are always negative and undermining. --DerekvG (talk) 17:10, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi DerekVG, I was not aware this is an internal WMBE thing. But you have made your view clear. All the best, Taketa (talk) 18:23, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- I have no problem discussing valid comment and criticism about the project, and we've created a project area accessible for all while we developping the project. This user focusses on the mere fact that money is going to be spend, whatever its being spend for, he oposses any money being spend, but he never volunteers for anything heś just ther putting those obnociuos comments--DerekvG (talk) 18:41, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
WLE Brasil 2015 - Grant proposal
Hello,
Thanks for your comments and participation in my grant proposal regarding WLE2015 Brasil. I'm really sorry regarding the level of the discussions there. Argentom is a very famous trouble-maker in our Brazilian community as well in the international community and unfortunately there is no way to stop that. I tried to justify and explain everything in many opportunity but in every new proposal he starts with the same conversation and defamatory messages. Following the recomendation that I received I will stop to answer all questions and trash talking from Argentom. If you have any question or consideration I'm here to provide all information and answers.
Thanks again
