I request this permission, limited to the scope of technical actions surrounding templates, templatestyles and modules and what is needed to deploy changes related to that (which likely includes mainspace edits to adapt some HTML here and there). Ive been wanting to do some more extensive cleanup of the templates and move some more CSS into templatestyles for a while now, with the intent of improving accessiblity and mobile compatibility. I'm a longtime wikipedia, a MediaWiki developer with review and merge permisssions, I made the frontpage of meta responsive a while ago, am an admin on mediawiki.org and used to be an admin en.wp and commons. --—TheDJ (talk • contribs) 20:58, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

- Before more opposes get piled-on, please note that the user isn't "actively editing", he made two edits after making this request. To me it seems more useful to keep the request open - but without needless opposing - for some days to wait for a possible reply for a further discussion of what is needed. --MF-W 15:34, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- What I meant is that after @Uncitoyen ping and my follow-up questions are posted, they made the 2 edits. I think maybe actively might be a little misleading, will correct that. They might have disabled echo to not see the pings or maybe didn't enable crosswiki notifications which can explains. However, what I am thinking is that when you RFLA, you are expected to be monitoring this page for questions and theyare active in commons and en, just to give a few projects that I think can fairly justify the label of active. I feel hesitant to support as meta sysops are expected to justify their actions promptly and while they might have other projects that are their main projects, they should still not neglect meta in some sense (especially if they are requesting access), my 2 cents.
