WikiGap Challenge 2022
editHi! As one of the participants of the WikiGap Challenge 2021, I wanted to inform you that we have launched the 2022 edition of the Challenge – and you are of course more than welcome to join! The landing page of the challenge is on this page. This year, due to the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are extending the Challenge to 8 May. I hope this might give some extra time for everyone to take part.
As last year, the UN Human Rights Office has nominated some 25 women human rights defenders, this year specifically focusing on women active within the fields of environment and climate. Writing articles about these women yield bonus points.
Feel free to join, and reach out if you have any questions! Eric Luth (WMSE) (talk) 13:57, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Your question on SE 2024
editHi W, please note that the Election Committee decided to strike your question on steward elections. As has happened in the past, we choose not to maintain questions that refer to or advertise a specific (and opened) RfC. For example, a question was asked about a request for permissions, but using a plausible (but still false) request, without mentioning (even remotely) a specific request on SRP.
Furthermore, stewards don't have single decision-making power over the RfC, in the sense that they must evaluate its consensus, and imho their personal opinion or beliefs or vote on a reported issue - made as simple users - should not be evaluated for SE purpose. Thanks for your understanding! Superpes15 (talk) 19:17, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Superpes15! How are you? Thank you for the explanation. Is there a way to draw attention of stewards to the issue in Belarusian Classical Wikipedia for a faster review? The situation has deteriorated futher as the bureaucrat resorted to voter fraud & reverted already approved vote results for term limits for administrators like himself. Moreover, this fraud went against the rule for voting that he himself introduced just last year. Best wishes,--W (talk) 09:37, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Just a heads up based on your recent messages on steward talk pages regarding the RfC; Stewards cannot create their own consensus, but rather that the consensus is to be made by the community, which is what the stewards abide by and implement. EPIC (talk) 11:25, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! How are you? Thanks a lot for further clarification. Is it then possible for stewards to implement the consensus of the community in Belarusian Classical Wikipedia in terms of: 1) my election as an administrator (be-tarask:Вікіпэдыя:Адміністрацыя#Удзельнік:W), 2) enforcement of the rule on 3-year term limits for admins & bureaucrats (be-tarask:Вікіпэдыя:Галасаваньні/Правіла абраньня адмінаў) based on the results of the vote (6 for & 2 against)? (-1 against as inelligible) Best wishes,—W (talk) 12:27, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

Spamming Stewards
editPlease do not mass-message stewards to look at backlogs such as Requests_for_comment#Open_requests_for_comment; this is disruptive. We are all aware of the backlog. If you want to discuss the backlog in general, you can start a thread at the Steward's Noticeboard. — xaosflux Talk 20:38, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Xaosflux! How are you? Thanks a lot for the explanation about the noticeboard. Best wishes,--W (talk) 17:45, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
