Hello all, I'm GeneralNotability, an enwiki sysop. Lately, I have found myself increasingly active in the areas of cross-wiki spam and sockpuppetry and I would like to put my experience to use in Meta. I am asking for limited adminship to edit the global spam blacklist and work with global edit filters, and request that the permission be granted for six months as a trial period (if there are no issues, I would then make a new request to be granted the permissions indefinitely). My use for the spam blacklist is pretty straightforward, I plan to use it when I come across spam links that are being spammed cross-wiki. As for the edit filters, some cross-wiki LTAs have fairly specific names or topics they write about, I'd like to be able to create (log-only) edit filters to catch them early. I recognize that I'm still fairly new in terms of cross-wiki activity, but I think I both have a specific use for the tools and have shown through my activity elsewhere that I have the competence and experience to be trusted with them. - Support Definitely! I’ve collaborated with GeneralNotability relatively often over the last few months for handling xwiki matters, usually spam, socking, LTAs, etc., and with this limited adminship they’d be able to handle many of the issues they find. It’d be a strong net positive for them to be able to work on global filters and add xwiki spammed links to the global blacklist. Thank you for volunteering, Vermont (talk) 22:55, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

- Support It doesn't have many changes on meta, but almost of those changes were made on the blacklists and steward requests pages. The justification is also quite appropriate. I think temporary adminship for 6 months is suitable for this user. Trusted user. Good luck. --Uncitoyentalk 22:00, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
