Marco Correa contestó algunas preguntas que formuló Raúl Estrada, columnista del sitio web FayerWayer, a propósito de la editatón del Día del Patrimonio 2015, y sobre la firma del Convenio de Colaboración entre Wikimedia Chile y la Biblioteca Nacional de Chile.

Resumen/reporte:
Se realizó una reunión con Guillermo Toro, Director y profesor de la Escuela de Bibliotecología en la Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana (UTEM). En la misma se realizó una presentación breve sobre la experiencia ganada con la implementación del proyecto Wikipedia en la Universidad, desarrollado desde el año 2011, así como también de la herramienta educativa del Programa de Educación de Wikipedia, analizando la posibilidad de implementar oficialmente una versión de Wikipedia en la Universidad 2015 en la UTEM. Además, Guillermo Toro, en su calidad de Director, buscará difundir al interior de la UTEM las actividades realizadas por Wikimedia Chile.

Resumen/reporte:
Se realiza una reunión de coordinación entre Daniela Schütte, María José Cumplido y Eduardo Testart, para revisar el avance de las tareas del proyecto piloto de Wikimedista en Residencia en la Biblioteca Nacional de Chile. Se conversa sobre las tareas pendientes y una posible promoción del trabajo realizado una vez que se concluya el mismo. Además se definen los tres documentos finales para el proyecto piloto en Wikisource. También se propuso realizar una editatón para el mes de octubre, fecha en que se cumple el aniversario de Memoria Chilena. Daniela Schütte propone que podría realizarse una selección de material y, de este modo, que las personas que asistan a la editatón, puedan tener a la vista documentos originales, que correspondan al mismo material digital que se encuentran consultando.
Reunión con Centro Cultural de España en Chile (II)

Marco Correa se reunió con Beatriz Lorenzo, Coordinadora del Área Académica del Centro Cultural de España en Chile (CCE), para explicar los detalles de los recursos necesarios para desarrollar una editatón. Se definió como temática para la futura editatón en el CCE la influencia cultural y el exilio español en Chile, centrado en el desembarco del Winnipeg (1939). El CCE comprometió el aporte de material sobre el suceso para utilizar en la editatón, y se la posibilidad de conseguir imágenes de los herederos de los exiliados para subir a Wikimedia Commons, organizados en la Agrupación Winnipeg. También se discutió la posibilidad de realizar un taller de edición previo para los funcionarios del CCE.

Dentro del marco del proyecto Wikipedia en la Universidad 2015 se realizó el primer taller de Wikipedia en la Universidad en la cátedra de Introducción a la Tecnología dictada en la Facultad de Economía y Negocios (FEN) de la Universidad de Chile por el profesor Martín Pérez Comisso, en la que participaron dos estudiantes y el profesor Pérez. La charla abordó someramente los pilares y políticas de Wikipedia y el uso de licencias libres que permite la colaboración en los proyectos Wikimedia, para proceder a realizar ediciones en vivo, resolviendo dudas y entregando ejemplos concretos a propósito de las experiencias y dificultades experimentadas por los alumnos en la generación de contenidos en Wikipedia.

Summary/report:
A meeting was held with Guillermo Toro, Professor and Director at the School of Library Science in the Technological Metropolitan University (UTEM). A short presentation was given over the experience gained with the implementation of the project Wikipedia in the University, in development since 2011, as well as the educational tool from the Wikipedia Education Program, analyzing the possibility to officially implement a version of "Wikipedia in the University 2015" in UTEM. Also, Guillermo Toro, in his role as Director, will look to share the activities organized by Wikimedia Chile internally in UTEM.

Summary/report:
Daniela Schütte, María José Cumplido and Eduardo Testart held a coordination meeting to review the progress and pending tasks of the Wikimedian In Residence pilot-program at the National Library of Chile. Other goals and further work engagement, once the project is finished, were considered by the team. In addition, the content of the three final documents of the Wikisource pilot program were established. An October edit-a-thon was proposed, to commemorate the anniversary of the cultural website Memoria Chilena. Daniela Schütte proposed a selection of these documents to showcase while the edit-a-thon takes place, so the participants can compare the original documentation with the digitalized version.

Summary/report:
A meeting between Marco Correa and Beatriz Lorenzo, Academic Department Coordinator of the Centro Cultural de España (CCE), took place to explain the details about the required resources for an edit-a-thon. The cultural influence of Spain, as well as the Spanish exile in Chile - with a focus on the landing of the ship Winnipeg(1939) - were set as the main topics of the forthcoming edit-a-thon. All the required resources were planned to be provided by the CCE as well as the original images from the Spanish exiles (provided by the Winnipeg Association.) It was planned to upload these images to Wikimedia Commons as well. In addition, Ms. Lorenzo offered to propose an editing workshop to the CCE officials, before the edit-a-thon to expand the event impact.
Editing Workshop, Wikipedia in the University 2015 - FEN of the Universidad de Chile (I)

Summary/report:
The first Wikipedia in the University workshop at the Economics and Business School of the Universidad de Chile, fell within the framework of the Wikipedia in the University 2015 project. This workshop was part of the activities for the Introduction to Technology class, supervised by Professor Martín Pérez Comisso. In the course of the workshop, where two students and Professor Pérez attended, Wikipedia's five pillars were analyzed, with a focus on free-licensed works and the benefits brought to projects such as the Wikimedia Foundation. In addition, Mediawiki software code was introduced and, as a matter of understanding the inclusion of references in wiki-related articles, two concepts such as transclusion and templates, were explained. Moreover, Wikipedia-related editing concepts and its potential as tool for education, management of information and knowledge generation, were also reviewed during this session.
