Welcome to Meta!
editHello, Thhhommmasss. Welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum if you need help with something (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Happy editing!
Notes about legal actions
editHi. It has been identified that you are mentioning legal aspects in conversation at metawiki. To note that if you are starting to discuss taking legal action against the Wikimedia Foundation or against individuals, this would not be seen as topical for the discussion pages, and you should be addressing those things directly with the organisation or the individual(s). If you take those actions in our fora, then your ability to edit in those fora will be limited. The approach here will be similar to that undertaken at English Wikipedia—they have better documentation to cover the scenario. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:49, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
RfC comment
editHi, I think you might have added your comment in the wrong place here -- you may want to move that :). Best, Blablubbs (talk) 00:16, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strike that, saw you just did. Blablubbs (talk) 00:16, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
Hey there! :)
editNow, I respect a lot of the work you have done in the past about this mess, but I am going to ask you to stop replying to oppose votes at the RFC. Bear in mind, I am not asking you to do this as some sort of sysop or formal warning, but I am informally requesting you do this as someone who wants to see the proposal pass.
It is not like I do not find your contributions (even your replies) meaningful in any sense (to the contrary), but by replying your elevate their arguments to something worth debating. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 02:48, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- MJL, understood, will do. However, I resent it when people try to create alternative realities, and turn perpetrators into “victims”. That false narrative can be harmful. If there is some further need to respond I'll employ Talk page. Thhhommmasss (talk) 19:32, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Thhhommmasss: Haha, yeah. It just gives the opposes more weight when every single time they comment they get a reply by five different users about how wrong they are. Thanks for using the talk page! –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 20:07, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- @MJL: btw, I see you plan a discussion on RfC Policy, which I hope will focus on how to improve the RfC process, given the past hr.wiki experience of how NOT to do things. I believe this is much needed and would look forward to participating Thhhommmasss (talk) 20:58, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
