Deletion of link

Hi

Regarding your change https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Documenting_CHwB_Albania_archives_in_commons&diff=prev&oldid=25566241 – this wasn't a commercial promotion. The new colleague made a reference to the NPO which has a collaboration contract with the Albanian Wikipedia group where people who work on the project for cultural monuments also can find valuable information for editing (sources etc.).

Exercise pages

Hallo! In courses on Wikiversity, you can sometimes encounter exercise pages. On such pages, the students are allowed to exercise, e.g. to try editing, to answer test questions, to do some homework, to make notes from lessons etc. It can appear as random experiments, but it is not. On the Czech Wikiversity, you can recognize such pages (1) by "cvičná stránka" in some label on the top of the page, or (2) by the name of the page and the editor (in the beginning of the course, the labels are not posted yet, or sometimes, the students themselves delete them by mistake): so, v:cs:Informatika pro kombinované lyceum/2024/TobiasMalecek is an exercise page of v:cs:Uživatel:TobiasMalecek in the year 2024/2025 of the course v:cs:Informatika pro kombinované lyceum. --Mmh (talk) 11:45, 30 September 2024 (UTC)

Tonga Wikipedia

I'm an admin in SqWiki. You have recently globally locked the account for Benny8907. Would you mind giving me some more insight as to what lead to this outcome? They were a new user which wrote to me as an admin extensively for advise on wiki procedures recently and I was surprised to see that they were suddenly blocked. - Klein Muçi (talk) 09:23, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

@Klein Muçi, this user, Benny8907, account is only used for cross-wiki spam. On sqwiki, after deleting all of their spam, they started email bombing or spamming via email. That’s why I blocked the user on sqwiki. But the global lock (not by me, I'm not able to lock global account, by a steward) isn’t only related to sqwiki, this account is globally locked for cross-wiki spam. –TANBIRUZZAMAN (💬) 12:48, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for the information! I was actually wondering the same thing, thought you might have acquired steward access as well. Can you give me any information regarding the said cross-wiki spam so I can asses the situation correctly? They've written to me personally, asking what happened, being confused about what they did wrong and I want to know what to tell them. They also mentioned that they were trying to explain personally to admins what they were trying to do but then got blocked because of it (paired with your email bombing reason, I believe they've tried to contact you or someone else by email multiple times?).
