WikiFundi Edit

Hello Mboix

I hope you had a great Woman Rights Day !

I will need your help please... on the WikiFundi Spanish ressources. I have cleaned up the page to separate French, English and Spanish. I need your help to add interesting and recent resources to the spanish page here : WikiAfrica Offline Resources/es. You can get inspiration from the English page of course but we do not need to put so many ressources. The best ones would be enough, in particular those related to

  • Education, teachers, school children
  • Gender gap and diversity topics

Of course, documents produced by chapters and usergroups would be great.

Hmmm, from memory, you speak French to... so if you have suggestions in French as well, feel free. But right now, my need is Spanish :)))

Can you help ? Thanks

WikiFundi again :) Edit

Hello Mboix.

Could you help me on two pages regarding WikiFundi.

The general root page is here : WikiFundi/2021. I believe most pages have been created by now, though any suggestion will be welcome (pages to add...).

The Portada page of the project is here : WikiFundi/2021/Portada. Normally it is finished. It is just for your understanding

The Community page of the project is there : WikiFundi/2021/WikiFundi:Bienvenidos. I would love it if you could review it, fix translations, make suggestions on some improvements. Perhaps add a gender gap paragraph to orient people ? I am sure it can be improved. Any feedback or copyediting will be welcome

Also, the page to present Wikimedia is very tentative right now. WikiFundi/2021/WikiFundi:Wikimedia. Also, help welcome on that one, which still needs love... mentionning Spanish speaking UG etc.

Thanks Anthere (talk) 11:50, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This is about WikiFundi again... would you be ok reviewing an .odt document meant to be the UserGuide in Spanish ?

It has already been translated. It still needs screenshots to be inserted but we can only do that when the platform is set up in mid or end of May. In the meanwhile, I would love to get some copy-editing of the translation, in particular to make sure of a decent level of language neutrality. Would you agree if I send you this document by email ?

Call For Volunteer Facilitators Across Africa Edit

The African Narrative

Dear Wikimedian,

The Africa Narrative is seeking volunteer facilitators in Egypt (two volunteers) and Senegal (two volunteers) for the AfroCreatives Wikiproject.

The AfroCreatives Wikiproject aims to support and mobilize creatives and professionals from the African creative sector, as well as enthusiasts more broadly, to contribute and enhance knowledge on Wikipedia about Africa’s creative economy. Its inaugural effort will target the film sectors of Egypt, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Senegal.

The Africa Narrative (TAN) is a non-profit that develops singular, high-impact initiatives in support of African creatives and the African cultural and creative industries with the aim to strengthen capacity in the continent’s creative economy and the global visibility of African cultural soft power.

All volunteers must have full professional proficiency in English. In Senegal, they must have native or full professional proficiency in French; in Egypt, they must have native or full professional proficiency in Arabic. Volunteer facilitators should have a vast knowledge about Wikimedia projects and experience with teaching new editors. All volunteers will be compensated.

Interested participants may sign up on the project's Meta page. You may also indicate your country and email if your Wikipedia account is not associated with any email address.

The Africa Narrative/Volunteers

We will be glad if you can share with or recommend an Egyptian or Senegalese Wikipedian as well.

Thank you.
