User:Hoo man/active sysops.js inactive?
editHi. For me, this script's output has stopped appearing on the top right of pages on all wikis. Would you be able to give it a poke to see if there is an issue? I haven't made any recent changes to my global.js to expect a change from my perspective. Thanks for the script. — billinghurst sDrewth 22:21, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- I have the same problem. I get an error regarding tools.wmflabs.org/hoo/api.php when I open up the console in Firefox. The browser reports a 404 when trying to load the page. -- Tegel (Talk) 23:35, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Tegel: Okay, that would be due to the removal of Trusty. I think that I saw Hoo's name on the list of inactive tools, among some others. Maybe it is time to get some of the tools to be hosted more collectively. Maybe some of this code could be merged with the META tool on toollabs as both @Pathoschild and MarcoAurelio: have access, with a github code repository. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:09, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
- This should be fine again... I'm all for hosting this collectively, in fact I think it should all be re-written from scratch. --Hoo man (talk) 01:14, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Working, thanks. I will look to progress a migration somewhere. See who wishes to host it. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:24, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

Tool question
editI'm not particularly sure who to contact about this, but I know you have experience in the area. Do you know if it is possible to make this or this work again? There's currently no tool I'm aware of that works to preform that function. Thanks, Vermont (talk) 01:58, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
MediawikiBadges Extension
editHello, I'm working on the documentation of the MediawikiBadges extension. I've installed it in my local instance as well. But haven't been able to figure out how to use it. If I want to display a badge on the wikipage, how should I do that? I'm using vector as wiki skin and running my local instance using xampp! I'll be very grateful if you could help me with that! Thank you! --Eisheeta (talk) 14:20, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- (Assuming you actually mean the WikimediaBadges extension) I just updated the documentation for this on MediaWiki.org slightly. In brief, you probably don't want to use this extension (except maybe for working on it), given it is custom made for Wikimedia. Generally you probably want to create your own CSS based on your wiki's needs.
- In order to set up badges in Wikibase, you need to configure them in Wikibase Repo (see the
badgeItems
setting) and Wikibase Client (see thebadgeClassNames
setting there). Cheers, Hoo man (talk) 13:02, 2 April 2019 (UTC)- Thank you so much for your help. Yes I did mean WikimediaBadges! Sorry I was confused. Very grateful for your inputs! Eisheeta (talk) 18:18, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
About your tool "tagger.js"
editIt has this error: [1] --Catherine Laurence (discussion) 10:41, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
- +1: Same error for me as well (:-P). Please Hoo man fix it as soon as possible. Thank you so much in advance! Kind regards, — Tulsi Bhagat (contribs | talk) 11:14, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
- I visualize the same error, first in MediaWiki.org, then in Meta and now in all wikis. Thanks in advance. Best regards, —Sgd. Hasley 18:32, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
- Comment Hi, Hoo man! Can you update
return mw.user.tokens.get('editToken');
toreturn mw.user.tokens.get('csrfToken');
(here: User:Hoo man/functions.js) in order to fix the error. --Acamicamacaraca (talk) 22:51, 12 October 2019 (UTC)- Done as an interface admin, I apologize for touching your user space. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 17:16, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
