Hello, a while ago you participated in a feedback round about a proposal how accidental clicks on the rollback link could be avoided. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and ideas!
Looking at the feedback and the rollback situation in different wikis, the development team decided how to approach this wish: As a default, most wikis won’t have a confirmation. But users who wish to have one, can enable it in their preferences, which will add a confirmation prompt to the rollback link on the diff page and on the list pages. The prompt won’t be a pop-up, but an inline prompt like for the thanks confirmation. You can read more about the planned solution and what influenced this decision on the project page. -- Best, Johanna Strodt (WMDE) (talk) 09:31, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
requesting to unblock me edit
- @Svpnikhil: You appear to be caught in a IP range block of an open proxy. I'm afraid I don't really know very much about the technical aspects of it, but I'm afraid a steward is going to have to look at it. There's not very much I can do personally because I don't have access. You might consider asking to have your account exempted from the proxy block at Steward requests/Global. Is there a reason you just overwrote an open request here? I only noticed when I saw more vandalism that wasn't dealt with via a lock nearly 24 hours after. Praxidicae (talk) 16:25, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Praxidicae: ...Uhh...No there isn't, other than having too many tabs open at the same time. I thought what I did was copy your report and paste it in my own to follow your formatting, but apparently I did it in the wrong tab and overwrote your report instead. My bad. My request edit
Thanks for the well intentioned advice. I'm still trying to see the evidence I was emailed to make sense of it. The case in question is not coherent enough for me to pass on to anybody despite looking at it for hours. I would not ask an OTRS volunteer to break their obligations and pass on the contents of the ticket which is part of the evidence.
- @Cabayi: I mean, I can try to take a look at it if you want to shoot me an email. Hard to parse what the situation is without more info. Unfortunately, there is pretty long standing consensus that user's shouldn't be granted OTRS tickets mainly for the purpose of viewing content. GMGtalk 18:50, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
My mail gets delivered to bulk/spam folders sometimes, so a notification just in case. Alexis Jazz (ping me) 21:53, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
