Superprotect status

Dear Caesarion, since you are an administrator on a wiki from which no user participated in this discussion, I'd like to make sure you are aware of some recent events which may alter what the Wikimedia Foundation lets you do on your wiki: Superprotect.

Relations with Steinbach?

Someone pointed me that you may be using Steinbach's old username, and want to redirect your userpage to the linked userpage above, I wonder what's the actual relations between you and Steinbach? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 00:14, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

I don't know Steinbach. It looks like many years ago (in 2008 or early), when each ...edia.org had it's own account system, Caesarion aka Steinbach was registered in e.g. en.wikipedia.org ( https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Caesarion&redirect=no ), while I was registered in ru.wikipedia.org in 2008-01-12. So it's true that Steinbach was Caesarion, but it's not a good idea to make redirect from Caesarion to Steinbach, because we are two different people (some ...edia.org already have this redirect unfortunantely). No relations between this user and me. As present-day Caesarion rightly remarks, in the early days of Wikimedia I had various aliases on various wikis. When single login was announced, I had all of them renamed to Steinbach so they could be merged. Steinbach (formerly Caesarion) 09:02, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
