[Update] Good news! Following the community's show of support, our engineering team will now start the process of adding the CampaignEvents Extension to Igbo Wikipedia. This is a special moment because Igbo Wikipedia will be the first wiki to enable this extension after Meta-Wiki.
Since this is our first time doing this outside of Meta-Wiki, it might take a little longer for our team to set everything up. We want to ensure everything runs smoothly. This is a big step for us and an opportunity to learn, making it easier to bring this extension to other wikis in the future.

The Movement Charter Drafting Committee is happy to announce that the full draft of the Movement Charter will be published on April 2nd, 2024. This will kick off the community engagement period from April 2nd to April 22nd.
The Movement Charter is a proposed document to define roles and responsibilities for all the members and entities of the Wikimedia Movement, including to lay out a new Global Council for movement governance.
Everyone in the Wikimedia Movement is invited to share opinions on the full version of the Charter draft – this is the last chance to offer feedback before the Charter draft is updated for the ratification vote in June 2024.
How to share your feedback?

- attend a community drop-in session on April 4th at 15.00-17.00 UTC;

Africa Wiki Challenge 2024 edit
Hello team, I am planning to organize a project in the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) Ig wiki Fan Club for the Africa Wiki Challenge 2024. Having seen that there is a content gap on the educational system, policies and programme in the Igbo Wikipedia, this project aims to fill up such gap through creating and translating articles around Education both in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
