Hello. I would like to request the local oversight permission at Meta-Wiki. I'm active in global patrolling and countervandalism related duties and regularly come across material that falls under the oversight policy. There is also an issue with global suppression of accounts via CentralAuth preventing the hiding of problematic edits and log entries of such accounts without OS rights due to the way MediaWiki handles it (sysop-level RevDel and suppression cannot coexist). There is a (somewhat bad) workaround I often use for this, but the inability to hide abuse filter log entries remains, and I prefer to do things the "proper" way. With the resignation of MarcoAurelio and the removal of -revi for inactivity, Meta is currently down to 3 (three) oversighters. There may not be an immediate need for another oversighter, but we should aim to not have possible problems with regards to availability or with delays in the processing of local suppression. As a steward (since 2017, formerly Defender), I already have access to everything oversighted and the suppression log, so I'm actually asking for permission to use oversight tools here outside of urgent emergencies, since I'm interested to help in this area.
