News from Movement Strategy edit

The Movement Charter Drafting Committee invites everyone interested in sharing their feedback on the proposed methodology to join the community conversation hours: 1. Community conversation hour #1: 18 April at 10:00 UTC - Movement Charter Community Consultation One. 2. Community conversation hour #2: 24 April at 17:00 UTC - Movement Charter Community Consultation Two. When signing up, please leave a comment if you need language support. Please note that language interpretation will be provided if at least 3 people are interested in a given language.

The Movement Charter Drafting Committee (MCDC) is collecting early input from the Wikimedia movement on the proposed methodology for the ratification of the Movement Charter from April 10 to 28, 2023. Ratification of the Movement Charter is planned for Jan-March 2024, according to the timeline.

The MCDC invites interested people to share feedback on the open questions via Comment on the Meta Talk page Comment on the Movement Strategy Forum Join the community conversation hours

Story from Let’s Connect edit

My name is Chinmayee Mishra, often called “Chinu” by my friends and colleagues in the Wikimedia movement. I am associated with a small regional affiliate in South Asia - The Odia Wikimedians User Group, and have recently joined the Let’s Connect team as a working group member.
7 years' journey in the movement has taught me many things, making me aware of my strengths, capabilities and scopes where I can evolve. As an individual, I have found that I am most effective & efficient when I am flexible with my work. But in my first month of working with the Let’s Connect team, there is a little bit of change in the understanding now, of course, in a better way. :)
Now I see that the effect of independent work can be highly impactful, too, when you have a creative and collaborative team, where we can bounce ideas off each other, raise questions and get solutions for a great result. The way of trying to identify genuine issues faced by Wikimedians around the globe, the simple way of showcasing the impactful solutions by experts to a larger audience, tracking the inputs & feedback from the participants in different learning clinics or interactive sessions, the precise & streamlined process of executing tasks/plans, the amazing connectathons and lot more wonderful factors are there which I loved and learnt too.
Looking forward to more such marvelous experiences with the team. Let’s stay connected.. :)
