attendees

  • z - the elections in Croatia are hopeful, the Green / Left party won some parliament seats, which is good.
  • fae - London is sort of anticipating the next wave of COVID. 50,000 people have died and it is hard to imagine this number. We are all getting a little bored with it. My mother wanted to socialize but has been cutting back. I planned to do activities with my husband but we decided to not do so because we did not want to take the train and risk exposure
  • Jeffrey - we had a repairman working on the boiler in the basement and now we have concerns in our own home because there was someone for an extended period of time. We are curious about what it means for school to restart. There is a community college in the area which is reporting that it is furloughing 120 of its staff, and perhaps it has 150 staff total.
  • Lane -

Wikimedia LGBT "+" the plus disrupts interwiki links Fae: On Commons everyone uses "LGBT". The "plus" is not terribly common. Fae: I think we should setup redirects with "LGBT" which should redirect to Wikimedia LGBT

We responded by documenting Wiki Loves X, which explains what a "Wiki Loves" campaign is. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Loves_X Wiki New York City postcard outreach - Wiki Loves Pride/2020/Postcards RachelWex typography commercial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7CpzeBrwiU Wikimedia Foundation organizing Universal Code of Conduct development Rachel Wex has said several times that she wanted to be representative from Wikimedia LGBT, and we supported her in the past https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Drafting_committee List of problems across languages Fae has a list of Wikipedia articles in various languages which have problematic text https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_LGBT%2B/List_of_bad_articles Fae: many of these articles have problems which get imported from other languages some of these problems are likely not intentional, but just a matter of one person writing errors in one language then these get propagated around https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki99/LGBT%2B Lane: can we have a top 10? gay lesbian sex eduation HIV/AIDS
