Τα Wikidata είναι ένα εγχείρημα του Ιδρύματος Wikimedia για τη δημιουργία μιας ανοικτής και συνεργατικής βάσης δεδομένων. Στις αρχές του 2013 ενεργοποιήθηκαν, και σταδιακά οι Βικιπαίδειες τα χρησιμοποιούν για άντληση και παρουσίαση περιεχομένου. Η πρώτη φάση αυτής της χρήσης αφορά τους διαγλωσσικούς συνδέσμους (interwiki), που θα μεταφερθούν από το εσωτερικό των άρθρων, όπου υπήρχαν μέχρι σήμερα, στην κεντρική βάση δεδομένων των Wikidata, για λόγους ευκολότερης συντήρησης. Από τις 6 Μαρτίου 2013 τα interwiki των Wikidata εφαρμόζονται και στην ελληνόφωνη Βικιπαίδεια (όπως και σε όλες τις υπόλοιπες). Για παράδειγμα, οι σύνδεσμοι που βλέπετε στα αριστερά αυτής της σελίδας του προέρχονται από τα Wikidata.
Κάθε λήμμα της Βικιπαίδειας έχει το αντίστοιχό του στα Wikidata. Αυτό το αντίστοιχο λέγεται αντικείμενο (item) και αναγνωρίζεται μοναδικά από έναν αριθμό. Για παράδειγμα, για τον Ντάγκλας Άνταμς, το αντίστοιχο στα Wikidata είναι το Q42 (αντικείμενο 42). Το αντικείμενο για την Ελλάδα είναι το αμέσως προηγούμενο αντικείμενο, το Q41.
Στο μέλλον, τα Wikidata θα προσφέρουν και άλλα είδη δεδομένων, όπως αυτές που συνήθως χρησιμοποιούνται στα κουτιά πληροφοριών (αυτή θα είναι η "φάση 2" των Wikidata). Σε πρώτη φάση, το περιεχόμενο των Wikidata έχει αντληθεί από τις διάφορες εκδόσεις της Wikipedia. Η άδεια με την οποία διακινείται αυτή η δομημένη πληροφορία είναι η CC-0 (κοινό κτήμα).
Φάση 1: Διαγλωσσικοί σύνδεσμοι (interwiki)
Κάθε σελίδα της Βικιπαίδειας που διαθέτει αντίστοιχο στα Wikidata χρησιμοποιεί τα interwiki που υπάρχουν εκεί για να δημιουργηθεί η λίστα των interwiki που υπάρχουν στα αριστερά της σελίδας.
Τα "παραδοσιακά" interwiki στο εσωτερικό του λήμματος θα αναγνωρίζονται ακόμα από το σύστημα. Αν το λήμμα είναι καταχωρημένο στα Wikidata, τότε θα προβάλλονται όλα τα interwiki που υπάρχουν εκεί, επιπλέον όποιων interwiki υπάρχουν μέσα στο κείμενο του λήμματος. Σε περίπτωση ασυμφωνίας, ή ηθελημένης διαφοροποίησης μεταξύ ενός τοπικού interwiki και του interwiki των Wikidata για κάποια γλώσσα, το τοπικό interwiki θα υπερισχύει και για τη συγκεκριμένη γλώσσα θα προβάλλεται αυτό.
Αν το λήμμα δεν είναι καταχωρημένο ακόμα στα Wikidata, τότε θα προβάλλονται τα interwiki που υπάρχουν μέσα στο βικι-κείμενο, όπως πριν. Σε κάποιες περιπτώσεις, ίσως υπάρχει ένα αντικείμενο στα Wikidata που αντιστοιχεί με το λήμμα, αλλά δεν έχει συσχετιστεί ακόμα. Τέτοια προβλήματα θα λυθούν με συνηθισμένες διαδικασίες συντήρησης στα Wikidata.
Διαχείριση των interwiki με τα Βικιδατα
Νέα λήμματα
- E1. Μόλις δημιούργησα το λήμμα με τίτλο Αυτό. Ξέρω ότι η Αγγλική/Γερμανική/Σουαχίλι Βικιπαίδεια έχει ήδη ένα λήμμα για το ίδιο αντικείμενο με τίτλο Dis. Τι κάνω;
- Πηγαίνετε στα Wikidata. Στα αριστερά, έχετε την επιλογή "Item by title".
- Κάντε κλικ στο "Item by title".
- Στη σελίδα που θα ανοίξει, στο πεδίο "Site" συμπληρώστε το γλωσσικό κωδικό της ξενόγλωσσης Βικιπαίδειας (για παράδειγμα, de για τα Γερμανικά) και δίπλα τον τίτλο του ξενόγλωσσου λήμματος (DIS). Μετά πατήστε "Search".
- Αν το αντικείμενο υπάρχει ήδη, πηγαίνετε στο κάτω μέρος του, κάντε κλικ στο "add", συμπληρώστε, με τον ίδιο τρόπο όπως προηγουμένως, το γλωσσικό κώδικα των ελληνικών ("el") και τον τίτλο του λήμματος στην ελληνόφωνη Βικιπαίδεια. Μετά πατήστε "save". Όλα εντάξει! Μόλις προσθέσατε και το σύνδεσμο για την ελληνική έκδοση του λήμματος στο αντικείμενο των Wikidata.
Μετακινήσεις λημμάτων
- Ε2. Μόλις μετακίνησα ένα λήμμα από τον τίτλο Αυτό στον τίτλο Εκείνο, και τα interwiki εξαφανίστηκαν. Τι κάνω;
- Πηγαίνετε στα Wikidata και εντοπίστε το αντικείμενο για το λήμμα Αυτό όπως περιγράψαμε στην πιο πάνω ερώτηση.
- Στη σελίδα του αντικειμένου, βρείτε το ελληνικό interwiki, κλικάρετε στο "edit", αντικαταστήστε το "Αυτό" με "Εκείνο", και μετά "save".
- Σημειώστε ότι μπορούν να χρειαστούν λίγα λεπτά μέχρι να εμφανιστεί το interwiki πίσω στην ελληνική έκδοση. Αυτό μπορεί να παρακαμφθεί αν ανανεωθεί η cache για τη σελίδα.
Λάθος interwiki
- Ε3. Μόλις διαπίστωσα ότι το λήμμα Αυτό στην ελληνόφωνη ΒΠ εμφανίζει interwiki για το λάθος λήμμα Dat της Αγγλικής/Γερμανικής/Σουαχίλι εγκυκλοπαίδειας. Τι κάνω;
- Στο τέλος της λίστας των interwiki του λήμματος Αυτό θα δείτε ένα σύνδεσμο με σήμα ένα μολύβι, που σας μεταφέρει κατευθείαν στα Wikidata για να επεξεργαστείτε τη λίστα των interwiki. Κλικάρετέ τον. Θα βρεθείτε στο αντικείμενο των Wikidata για το Αυτό.
- Στην ενότητα "List of pages linked to this item" του αντικειμένου, βρείτε το Σουαχίλι σύνδεσμο Dat.
- Πατήστε "edit" και μετά "remove", ή συμπληρώστε το σωστό interwiki αν ξέρετε ποιο είναι.
- Επαναλάβετε για άλλα λάθος interwiki, αν υπάρχουν.
- Με τον τρόπο αυτό, διορθώνετε το interwiki όχι μόνο για την ελληνική έκδοση, αλλά και όλες τις υπόλοιπες (οι αλλαγές δηλαδή, εμφανίζονται σε όλες τις Βικιπαίδειες. Αυτό σημαίνει ευκολία, αλλά και ευθύνη).
- Αν δεν βλέπετε το σύνδεσμο με το μολύβι, τότε το αντικείμενο δεν έχει ακόμα προστεθεί στα Wikidata. Σε αυτή την περίπτωση επιστρέψτε στην Ερώτηση 1 και ακολουθήστε τις εκεί οδηγίες.
More than one interwiki family
- Q4. I've just noticed that the articles en:YEN, de:YDE and fr:YFR are linked together, and that cs:YCS and hu:YHU are linked together. Actually all five articles are on the same subject. How do I locate and merge their entries on Wikidata?
- You can find their entries as shown in Q1 above – in this case, you could try d:Special:ItemByTitle/en/YEN and d:Special:ItemByTitle/cs/YCS; if those don't work, try searching for all the other Wikipedias' titles, as in some cases it's possible that an item has been created for one title, but not the article it's linked to.
- If you find two items, then remove all the links from one (generally the one with the higher Q number, but it's okay to use the other one if it has many fewer linked articles), add them to the second one, and request deletion of the now empty item.
- If you find one item, simply add the links to the relevant articles.
- If you find no items, then just create an item for all five articles, as explained in Q1 above.
- You can find their entries as shown in Q1 above – in this case, you could try d:Special:ItemByTitle/en/YEN and d:Special:ItemByTitle/cs/YCS; if those don't work, try searching for all the other Wikipedias' titles, as in some cases it's possible that an item has been created for one title, but not the article it's linked to.
Επανεισαγωγή interwiki
- Ε5. Στο λήμμα που έχει interwiki στα Wikidata, και από το οποίο αφαιρέσαμε πριν καιρό τα εσωτερικά interwiki, κάποιος πρόσθεσε το Σουαχίλι interwiki. Τι κάνουμε;
- Σε γενικές γραμμές, διαγράψτε το interwiki. Αν θέλετε, μπορείτε να τσεκάρετε αν το interwiki υπάρχει στα Wikidata, και αν όχι, και το Σουαχίλι λήμμα όντως υπάρχει και αφορά το ίδιο αντικείμενο, να το συμπληρώσετε όπως περιγράφεται στην Ε1.
Επίμονη ασυμφωνία interwiki
- Ε6 Προσπάθησα να τα κάνω όλα αυτά, αλλά υπάρχουν συγκρούσεις interwiki με τις άλλες εκδόσεις. Τι κάνω;
- Απλά πηγαίνετε στη σελίδα συζήτησης αυτής της σελίδας και αναφέρετέ το. Αν χρειαστεί θα προωθηθεί στα Wikidata αν απαιτείται διαβικική συνεργασία.

Μετάβαση στο νέο σύστημα interwiki
Οι τοπικοί σύνδεσμοι interwiki μπορούν να αφαιρεθούν αν η τοπική λίστα και αυτή στα Wikidata είναι ίδιες. Επειδή η αφαίρεση των interwiki θα μπορούσε να δώσει την εικόνα βανδαλισμού στις Πρόσφατες Αλλαγές και γενικά σε όσους παρακολουθούν τις επεξεργασίες, παρακαλούμε πάντα κάνετε Σύνοψη επεξεργασίας, κατά προτίμηση συμπληρώνοντας στο πεδίο σύνοψης τον κώδικα «[[Βικιπαίδεια:Wikidata|]]» ή «αφαίρεση interwiki λόγω [[Βικιπαίδεια:Wikidata|]]» ή κάτι παρόμοιο.
Γενικά, είναι καλύτερο να αφαιρούνται τα interwiki από το εσωτερικό των λημμάτων αν το αντικείμενο υπάρχει στα Wikidata (αυτό μπορείτε να το καταλάβετε από το αν υπάρχει το εικονίδιο με το στυλό στο τέλος της λίστας των interwiki. Αυτό επειδή τα interwiki μέσα στα λήμματα θα υπερισχύουν αυτών στα Wikidata ακυρώνοντας τυχόν ενημερώσεις και αλλαγές τους εκεί. Συν το γεγονός ότι μειώνεται και το μέγεθος των λημμάτων χωρίς τα interwiki. Πάντως δεν πρέπει να αφαιρείτε τα interwiki αν δεν είστε 100% σίγουροι ότι υπάρχουν ήδη στα Wikidata.
Αυτόματη μετάβαση
Οι χειριστές μποτ σε Pywiki θα πρέπει να το αναβαθμίσουν τουλάχιστον στην pyrev:11073. Οι χειριστές μποτ σε άλλα frameworks θα πρέπει να σταματήσουν τη χρήση του μποτ τους έως ότου διορθώσουν τον κώδικά τους έτσι ώστε να μην αλλάζουν τα interwiki.
Semi-automated migration of links
Below are methods which can be used to change the links in a more automatic fashion, which decreases the chance that you will make an error while transferring the links:
- You may want to add the following JavaScript to your common.js page on your home Wikipedia, which will allow you, when editing a page, to click a "remove interwikis" button, which will remove all interlanguage links that have been copied to Wikidata:

- slurpInterwiki is a Wikidata gadget which can be used to semi-automatically pull in new links from the article. See the Wikidata gadgets panel.
Manual migration of links
The following method is the basic way to edit an interlanguage link:
- Go to the Wikidata item. There are two manual methods to do this:
- Click the grey "edit links" link at the bottom of the "Languages" bar
- Go to d:Special:ItemByTitle and search for your page
- Compare the links with the article's
- Edit the links in Wikidata. This should be straightforward; each interlanguage wiki link has an [edit] next to it. Click that link exposes several forms:
- The first is for the language code
- The second is for the languages' link
- Where the [edit] link was should now appear three options: save, remove, and cancel.
- Save is used when you have completely finished changing the information in the entry
- Remove completely removes the entry from the database
- Cancel cancels the interaction with the interface
- Add any missing links in Wikidata if appropriate. This can be done by going to the bottom of the interlanguage wiki link list and clicking on "add link". This exposes mostly the same forms as a normal edit.
- Once all links are accounted for, preview a version of the article on Wikipedia with all interlanguage links removed, and compare it to the current version of the article. Look to see if there are any differences between the rendered text. If there are not, they may be removed safely. If there are differences, you should either not remove the links that differ, or, better yet, return to editing Wikidata, and then remove them from the article.
If you encounter any interwiki conflicts (most notably situations where you get an error message informing you that a link you've tried to add is already in use on another item), you can raise the issue at w:Wikipedia talk:Wikidata#Interwiki conflicts or d:Wikidata:Interwiki conflicts, though if you can think of a way to resolve it yourself, by all means please do.

Article status indicators
Good Articles and Featured Articles on other Wikipedias are indicated by a star beside the language link. This star is generated by a template. Since Wikidata does not store this information, these templates should not be removed. The corresponding language link itself may be removed.
Interlanguage links with anchors
Sometimes an interlanguage link includes an anchor, which is a link to a section of an article. The anchor is represented by the "#" character (e.g. [[fr:Analyse de survie#Fonction de survie]]). Such a link is used when the linked Wikipedia does not have an exactly corresponding article, but has an article that deals in part with the same subject. Wikidata's language links do not support anchors by design, so language links with anchors must be retained on Wikipedia if desired. For an example, see the end of the wikitext in the article w:Survival function: Wikidata is providing all of the language links—via d:Q2915096—except for the one to the French Wikipedia, which, since it is a section link, is instead listed locally in the article itself.
Suppression of Wikidata links
An individual article can completely suppress Wikidata links by using the {{noexternallanglinks}} magic word. The magic word also supports suppression of only specific languages, in the form "{{noexternallanglinks:es|fr|it}}", which would suppress the Spanish, French, and Italian links.
Scope of Wikidata's language links
The Wikidata community agreed in an RFC that all namespaces of Wikipedia projects other than "User" are eligible for storage on Wikidata. This means that interwiki links for categories, templates, and Wikipedia policy pages can also be stored in Wikidata and removed locally if effected by both communities. For an example of a Wikidata item referring to the Wikipedia namespace, see item Q4167836, which refers to w:Wikipedia:Categories.
Inline interlanguage links
Inline interlanguage links (those of the format [[:<language>:<article>]]) continue to work as before and have not been changed by Wikidata. For instance, you can link the German version of this information page without in any way affecting its interlanguage links, here or on Wikidata. (Just remember to start with a colon!)
