Welcome to Meta! edit

Hello Tarc, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing! MBisanz talk 03:12, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

An edit summary edit

Your edit summary: (I object. Thicken up your skin a bit.) appears to me to misunderstand the issue. I do not believe that it is appropriate to suggest that those who are opposed to the essay have, themselves, a "thin skin". I don't have a thin skin, and yet I think the essay is damaging and inappropriate in the form to which you restored it.

Please allow normal editing to proceed and work thoughtfully with others to improve the essay. A complete revert is generally not the most helpful thing - try to find something in what your opponent has written that you can agree to, or try to suggest alternative wordings to help address our concerns.--Jimbo Wales 10:32, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the information you added to the essay Tarc, twice, please stop reverting me and adding it back. Sorry, I did not realize that Collect had made the changes. Tofutwitch11 18:43, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Once more... edit

Don´t use my talkpage for discussion about others. You can contact Mbz1 on his talk. And even if you checked it last time, I don´t care, just use your own talk. OK? --WizardOfOz talk 21:09, 6 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

RfC edit

Hi. I just moved your comment from Meta:Requests for deletion to Requests for comment/Gwen Gale‎ because it belongs there. mickit 18:06, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Bloody pathetic. Tarc 18:34, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I see nothing constructive about your rather unpleasant comments generally. Please leave Meta processes to Meta - comments are welcome but behaviour must be appropriate. --Herby talk thyme 18:49, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
"indeed" ;-) -- Proofreader77 (talk) 01:23, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Indeedy-do. The best part about all this is that, even though the diff itself is gone since the page was deleted, I started the stone rolling downhill calling out Mbz1's fraudulent RfC almost a month ago. So what is the result? Mbz is utterly disgraced, Meta now has a very large spotlight trained upon it and its odd and backwater dealings are probably at an end. All in all, a mighty /pats self on back, I'd say. Cheerio, whoever you are. :) Tarc (talk) 04:21, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Your participation in the story is noted in the timeline, hence the note above. As for me, let's just say I'm probably the only person to win a barnstar from an admin for offering to eat dirt. (Note: On the user page opposite the talk containing the dirt-ready-to-eat, there is a quote by Abraham Lincoln that is quite fitting the current moment.) Cheers. -- Proofreader77 (talk) 06:31, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ad hominem tangent edit

Moved from Meta:Requests_for_adminship/Nemo_bis_(removal)

Question: I wonder, if somebody who rants like this, and who himself is surprised he's not yet banned from Wikipedia could be considered a normal person, or his vote should not be taken into account due to insanity? 71.198.248.102 16:06, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I believe your question is off-topic for this discussion. However thanks for that off-wiki link anon IP, I have saved a copy, if only because I recognized one of the more highly offensive phrases as it was used recently in some anonymous homophobic abuse against me on Wikimedia Commons; no doubt entirely a co-incidence. Whether it affects this vote in any way will be down to the closing admin. @Tarc if these have been faked, it would be helpful if you pointed that out. Thanks -- (talk) 17:08, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
It's entirely a coincidence. In order to understand why Tarc said that, one needs to understand the context. One would need to be familiar with the back-and-forth Retrospect–Ottava nonsense, the "Commons-hosted Muhammad Images" thread, how run-down the Wikipedia Review was at the time (and continues to be), the desire to see the Wikipedia Review closed but kept as an archive rather than having shit continue to be posted, and Tarc. I don't believe that any of this should be interpreted out of context. I'm basically saying the same thing Nemo said. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 17:45, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Oy vey. 71.198 is almost certainly Mbz1, there's really no one else who would get their dander up so regarding my comment on Nemo's bit removal, as it mentioned her harassment-masquerading-as-an-RfC here last year. Also note the usual Mbz1 verbiage of denial of sanity/personhood ("you're not normal", "you're subhuman", etc...she uses it frequently). Anyways, the context of that WR thread was to be intentionally and brutally offensive as possible, as I was actively trying to derail a retarded syntactical pissing match between Ottawa and Retro-Poetlister. I have never posted so much as a single bit, byte, or character on any Wikimedia project that was not under the SUL* "Tarc" that is posting right now, so any "anonymous homophobic abuse" you may have received on your talk page is unfortunate, but it has nothing to do with me. Fae, my reasons for believing that your presence in any Wikimedia project is an overall net negative doesn't have a thing to do with your sexuality.
Just for the sake of completeness, the following are not me, as the SUL failed to claim them at the time of creation;
en.wikiversity.org
es.wikipedia.org
et.wikipedia.org
hu.wikipedia.org
pt.wikipedia.org
simple.wikipedia.org

I have to agree with your assessment of the probable identity if the IP troll. The IP is similar to one that she used to evade her block at en.wp during last year's arbcom elections, and the style is hard to miss. As Mbz is supposed to be blocked here this is obviously block evasion but I don't know that it is worth the trouble to try and get an admin to actually do anything about it. I love Mbz's "I am leaving because I am being persectuted but I will return again and again to flame all those I feel have wronged me" approach to things.
