Global editinterface
editHi, still needed? Matanya 00:05, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, still needed. I informed many people for the ongoing change and for talking about some details but still got nearly no response (py-devs, local admins). So i'll do the change soon without waiting further. Merlissimo 15:21, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
- Excellent. So is this all that's needed or is there more? Seb az86556 19:38, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- If this contains all language codes, this correct. But on a first look its the normal first-word sorting with en/es first, isn't it? If so, you should add the meta keyword instead.
- I'll write a bot script that will notify local communities who wants to have a full local list. (e.g. if code is missing after a langcom approval). Is there a "admin request page" on nvwiki for that? Merlissimo 19:56, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- What do you mean "admin request page"? If you want admin-stuff done, just ask me or Stephen. Seb az86556 20:32, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- So... like this? Seb az86556 20:36, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- If you are using your completely own interwiki sort list you have to care about adding new language codes. There are about 5-7 new wikipedias every year approved by langcom. If you are only want to have some interwikis moved to top, you can refer to a meta- or auto- list for the rest. So you don't have to care about new wikipedia codes after every langcom approval.
- Your change is working. But now you added meta-native-languagename. On your first try you used a order as on meta-native-languagename-firstword. The ordering that was enabled before that change is auto-languagecode. So what is the ording you really want to have? Do you really want a complete reording or only moved en and es to top (in this case you should use auto-languagecode)? Merlissimo 20:53, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Either one is fine, as long as en-es is on top. I now took the one en.wiki is using. Thanks. :) Seb az86556 21:01, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Excellent. So is this all that's needed or is there more? Seb az86556 19:38, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Still needed? billinghurst sDrewth 11:38, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- You can remove it. The main work i requested it for is done. I may rerequest this right by another vote if it's needed again. Merlissimo (talk) 18:49, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
Vagobot
editHi, Merlissimo. I have a problem in the nvwiki with sorting. Previously, it was a different sort (was), and I see that this month has changed sorting. Please tell me where can I download the latest programs (Python) and scripts for interwiki. Best regards, Vago (talk) 10:51, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- I hope that pwd developers will implements this soon. xqt is busy atm.
- User:MerlIwBot/family.py contains a config that can be used for pwd config. You have to add the meta section to family.py and replace variable self.interwiki_putfirst at families/wikipedia_family.py with the one at the wikipedia section. Merlissimo (talk) 02:02, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! Vago tp 07:05, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Hello, your bot has been adding incorrect numbers to Small and large wikis/Statistics (it says itwikivoyage has 18446744073709551469 articles, sv.wikivoyage.org has 1). Could you fix this? –sumone10154(talk) 22:51, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Global bot
edit- This message is being left on your talk page at Meta-Wiki and those of your home wiki(s). Sorry for the duplicates.
Dear global bot operator: Some days ago you received a message in which you were informed that one or various accounts you hold lost a global bot flag because of inactivity. Due to a mistake, messages informing about this were not sent before removal took place as policy mandates. As such, if you think your bot will be active again on global bot duties, you can request the restoration of the global bot flag on the stewards' noticeboard at Meta-Wiki within the next two (2) weeks after this message has been posted. Please note that this removal was purely procedural based on inactivity. If you have any questions, you can reach me on my talk page at Meta-Wiki. Please accept my apologies in advance for this. Best regards. -- MediaWiki message delivery (talk) on behalf of MarcoAurelio at 18:11, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
