Re:claiming/verifying domains for Alexa, etc.

Hi Jeremy. Thanks for following this up. We wish to verify both on Alexa [1] and on WOT [2]. Verifying on Alexa would allow us to change the site description, which is currently a one-liner in German. It would also include a note on the page saying we are a claimed site, as well as giving us some leverage if we want to contact Alexa regarding the false, biased IB reviews that have been made so far.

Claiming on WOT would also allow us to add a description on the page. Additionally, we can response to comments on the scorecard and request a reassessment on the forums, allowing us to remove IB comments that are clearly false and a conflict of interest.

Hopefully the staff will be able to work something out with our community so that we are able to claim these two sites. JamesA (talk) 06:35, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

CentralNotice for Czech Wikiconference

Hello, I am Vojtech from Czech Wikipedia and Wikimedia CZ, organizing the fifth Czech Wikiconference. We would like a central notice for all Czech projects. I prepared a banner and filled in the calendar; could you set everything up so that the banner is turned on Nov 8-30 2013? I have essentially no experience evaluating reqs for CN. I might be able to set up the banner so you can test layout/etc. but would like to see some comments (maybe on the calendar's talk page?) about timing/duration/eligibility. Request for Input - New Central Notice request process

Hello fellow CN admin!

Back in February I emailed the CN-admin list regarding part of my role to look into the Central Notice process and see where we could make improvements including: the campaign process; its functionality or lack thereof; and fundamentally the documentation that supports it. You can see many of the issues that I identified at CentralNotice/Process_Review. If there is anything additional that you feel has been left out then please feel free to leave any comments on the talk page.

My first task is to improve the requesting of campaigns by communities and affiliates. I am looking to set up a more formal request process, similar to those used in many projects. The aim is to: increase the transparency of Central Notice; improve the support provided to affiliates (including making such support more consistent); to provide a forum for community input into campaigns.

I have been working on a very rough strawman version of the process and I would be interested in hearing you comments about what such a process should involve and what you think it would require. Please feel free to leave such comments at the process talk page section. I would like to have a working page in place by the end of May. This would not need to be a final version. The process can be improved upon over time as we learn about how well it works.

Central notice adminship

Hi, the Foundation implemented a new inactivity policy for Central Notice Administrators, which says that CN admins who didn't use their rights in the past year should get them removed for security reasons.
