WMF Board elections 2013
editHi, thank you for your interest. However as you do not appear to meet the prerequisites to candidacy, I have removed your nomination. For the election committee -- KTC (talk) 20:00, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- They seem to work for me. What is the problem? I will restore my name to the list. Thank you. Horatio Snickers (talk) 20:01, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Please see the page I linked to. I have removed your nomination again. Please do not restore unless you can demonstrate you met the prerequisites to candidacy, including the total edits requirements. Thanks -- KTC (talk) 20:10, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Horatio Snickers - you must also meet the voter requirements which, for an editor, requires that all voters and candidates "have made at least 300 edits before 15 April 2013 across Wikimedia wikis (edits on several wikis can be combined if your accounts are unified into a global account)". You have fewer than 50 edits total. For the election committee - Risker (talk) 20:11, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for your explanation. That guy KTC just likes to tell me to read things. That is much more helpful. I can start making edits now - it seems a bit unfair to make this limit begin in the past. Could you make an exception for me? I am relatively young and would not have had the opportunity to make so many edits. Horatio Snickers (talk) 20:20, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- No exception. Risker (talk) 20:29, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, I have to understand you need to play by the rules. Would a donation (to yOu) make things any different? Say £100? I can discuss this on personal email if you would prefer not to conduct business on visible pages? Horatio Snickers (talk) 20:34, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not a member of the election committee, but I'm sure a donation would not change things. Maybe you can become a Board member after being around in the community a bit, maybe for a fews years. You also need to be at least 18 years old and of legal age in your country FYI (not sure if you meet this criterion or not since you said you're "relatively young"). Thank you for understanding.
