I find it impolite to say "Your crystal ball aside". I take this as an expression of extreme doubt that the words of the interlocutor are related to reality (but @Matthiasb talks about solid facts as I see). If you meant something different and my poor English level did not allow me to understand it, then I am sorry. Carn (talk) 21:44, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

That was a gentle reminder to Matthiasb that the first sentence of his comment ("Categories never ever will be replaced by Wikidata.") is not only trying to predict the future, but expressing absolute certainty about it, and is as such almost certainly wrong (as are almost all sentences containing unqualified absolute words such as never or always). Furthermore, the absolute certainty expressed there could lead an uninformed reader to conclude that Matthiasb is in a position to make decisions about this and as a result, all discussion about it is pointless. However, I didn't want to go into depth on this in my comment as it would have detracted from the actual topic, hence my brief remark. Silver hr (talk) 04:41, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
