- Personal info: (English)Greetings all. Respecting tradition, I stand as a candidate again this time because the current rules allow me to become a candidate. I can assure you that after the election my action will be just as effective. You know me from previous elections. Once again I would like to inform you briefly about myself:
I am Tarkhan Pashazade jachly, from Azerbaijan and origin from Jack village in the Quba Rayon. I’m living in Sumgait city. Date of birth: 29 November 1982.
First time I registered in Wikipedia on 21 December, 2006 as Tərxan Paşazadə. But currently it’s inactive. Afterwards I registered on February 8, 2009 at Azerbaijani Wikipedia in the username of Cekli829. Since March 27, 2009 I have remained an active on wiki projects.
My account is active in about 835 sites of project - almost in all of the sites. Generally, I have more than 290 000 editing on the project. Currently I'm a member of at least 19 local groups (sysop/rollbacker/test-admin/reviewer/patroller/rollbacker/editor/etc...) in the wiki-project. I made more than 45 000 sysop actions only on Azerbaijani Wikipedia. I participated to the translation project translatewiki.net as well. Especially if you notice, the Turkish Wikipedia Collaborations project, where I was an active participant in this project in 2011, 2012 and I became the winner of the year. In 2015, I became the completed of the 100wikidays (video-slide) and I be honored as Wikipedia Asian Ambassador.
I'm also a member of the Azerbaijani Wikimedians User Group and Small Wiki Monitoring Team. I have a great practice in global struggling against vandalism. I’m initiator and participant of Azerbaijani Wikinews, Khinalig Wikipedia projects in Incubator. One of my biggest contribution from the projects was the Commons project (11.000+ file); also Wikidata.
Wikiness is my lifestyle. I am busy on wiki projects from 1 to 5 hours in a day. I think wiki projects are the great common human worth. I want to be more helpful in this sphere. That is why I would like to serve as a Wikimedia steward. This is already the eighth time of my candidacy. Actually to be a candidate for the previous 7 elections was a great experience for me. Thus, further the elections has an important role in the improvement of my activity, forming as a professional wiki...
Please support with your vote all of candidates who you like! I wish only the useful result. Doubtless if wikisociety will support me, I am ready to assume the responsibility. I hope wikisociety will support and will give me this honorable responsibility. Because I’m truly a hard working user. You can trust me. Thank you for your consideration!

- Personal info: (English)Hello everyone. I started contributing to the Wikimedia projects in the beginning of 2010, on the Portuguese Wiktionary, where I currently hold administrator (since May 2010) and bureaucrat rights. I am also an administrator here on Meta-Wiki (since July 2013) and a global sysop (since May 2014). I am active in global countervandalism/anti-spam activities and would like to be a steward in order to be able to globally (b)lock cross-wiki vandals, spambots/spammers and LTAs myself. Considering I am very active here on Meta, I would like to also help out in all other steward tasks, such as CheckUser requests, permissions requests (both local and global), SRM, SRUC and so on. I am daily present on many IRC channels, including #cvn-swconnect, #cvn-metaconnect, #wikimedia-gsconnect and #wikimedia-stewardsconnect. My time zone is UTC-3.
I had some periods of reduced activity in 2014 and 2015 due to real life issues which are fortunately now settled, but I am now fully back. This is my second nomination for stewardship, as you can see here. I've got more experience and my activity level has greatly improved since then.
Thank you for your time and consideration and don't hesitate to ask any questions. Best regards, Defender (talk) 20:47, 28 January 2017 (UTC) - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2017/Questions#Defender

- Personal info: (English)Dear all,
My dear fellow Wikimedian friends,
Warm greetings from Urdu, Hindi and English Wikipedia(s) and Wikimedia Commons!
My name is Muzammil and I come from India. I speak both Urdu and Hindi at the native level. I am comfortable with English - both written and oral. I’ve been a registered active Wikimedian for over six years now (starting 2011). As I look back, some of my initial contributions were on Hindi Wikipedia, mainly on AIDS Control Agencies in India. I later contributed to a wide range of topics, mostly on Urdu and Hindi Wikipedias, followed by English. I did a lot of maintenance work on Commons and soon became a filemover and rollbacker there. In fighting vandalism here, I reported many sockpuppet accounts. I rose to Bureaucrat position on Urdu Wikipedia and Reviewer positions on Hindi and English Wikipedia(s).I have a total of close to 68,000 edits on all Wikimedia projects put together.
As a result of my efforts since 2012, I am glad that the first Hindi Wiki Sammelan (Meet/Conference) became a reality in 2015. I also hope to hold a similar events for Urdu Wikipedia. More recently, I represented Hindi wikipedia at Fourth International Hindi Conference in january 2017.
Over the last 4 years, I have also transformed myself into a “Wikimedia Researcher” - in the sense that I survey, study and write blogposts on leading Wikipedians, communities and events. I have so far written blogposts on English, Sanskrit, Esperanto, Urdu, Hindi, Maithili, Doteli, Ido, Punjabi, Western Punjabi and Ido Wikipedia(s)/ Wikipedian(s). I proactively worked with Maithili Wikipedians in getting their project out of incubator and became the admin of the mailing list in the process.
My main objective in asking for steward rights is to address Steward requests, fight cross-Wiki spams and to counter vandalism. Since I am comfortable with Latin, Perso-Arabic & Devanagri Scripts, I am ready to work with diverse communities across the world (as indicated in my research interests). I am interested in extending a helping hand to emerging as well as established communities. During the past few years I've greatly benefitted from in-person meeting with some of the incumbent stewards, knowing their areas of works and their focus. In line with this experience as well as the background information, I feel that I will be able to justifiably discharge my duties as a Steward.
Umpteen thanks for your consideration!! - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2017/Questions#Hindustanilanguage

- Personal info: (English)Hi.
I've thought a lot about this, and as we need more active stewards, I've decided to nominate myself for stewardship. I registered on Wikimedia projects in 2014 and I've been a very active Wikimedian since then. My native language is Spanish, I can speak English at an intermediate level and I understand a few other Romance languages on a basic level. I started doing global counter vandalism/spam in 2014 and became a global rollbacker, a global sysop and an admin here on Meta-Wiki in 2015. I'm also a local op on a few Wikimedia IRC channels. As you may see here, this is my second nomination for stewardship (I've gained more experience since then).
I mainly focus on anti-vandalism/spam work, but I try to help users as well (mainly in Spanish language IRC channels and on OTRS).
As a steward, I'd like to help out granting/removing local bots too and global user rights, locking/gblocking spambots/spammers/vandals/LTAs, handling miscellaneous requests, etc (I'll try to help on any page where I think I can be useful). I'm daily available on IRC, so I can help out with requests made via IRC as well. Thanks for your time :). - Personal info: (English)Hello everyone,
My name is Sjoerd de Bruin and I was born in the Netherlands. I've been actively contributing to Wikipedia since 2010 and became sysop on the Dutch Wikipedia in November 2013. Wikidata followed in 2013, where I've became sysop in February 2014 and oversighter in August 2015. I'm also helping on OTRS since January 2014. Also has been a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Dutch Wikipedia since March 2016. My main language is Dutch and I have advanced knowledge of English.
In the last year, I have noticed a lack of active stewards on IRC in, for example, the European mornings. Urgent locks and oversights need to wait a long time for attention. I can complain about that, but I can also try to do something about it. This is one of main reasons why I've nominated myself this year. I'm always online to help people out, the same applies for international and local events in real-life! I have a decent amount of knowledge about LTA's and other situations on various Wikimedia projects.
As steward, I would like to help with handeling (urgent) IRC requests and requests on the various pages on Meta. I hope the community will support me while I do the same to them. - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2017/Questions#Sjoerddebruin
