Talk page

Hello, stewards. I will ask a question. I know but still I ask. Cuz that's why me and another user got blocked on Az Wikipedia. There are many users who do this, even administrators. But we are blocked. And my and him account has been blocked for more than 10 days (1 month and 10 day). I didn't can't contribute for more than 10 days. Is it against the rules to delete talk pages? (own). The user who blocked we is being aggressive towards us. He's trying to drive me away from Wikipedia. He posted this publicly on my talk page. He is a bureaucrat and a adminstrator. He is abusing his powers. Many times my account has been maliciously blocked by him. No one has much to say on this subject. Only 3-4 users wrote "its wrong" (he accused them of being biased too (people who oppose him in discussions about me)) and still he and other administrators did not unblock. I called the bureaucrats but they didn't look. I've waited a while and I'm writing to you here because there is no result. Adminstrators in particularly remain silent. I want to get an answer to this question. I will explain in detail. Please mark me when you reply. Thank you. Best regards, Gadir (talk) 03:56, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Greetings, this statement is not an expression of my personal viewpoint, but rather pertains to our internal official rules. In light of the numerous objections raised, we have initiated a discussion among the Administrators. We kindly request your patience while a decision is reached. --eldarado (talk | contributions | meta page) 11:30, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Hello. I was one of the users who got blocked at the same time. (10 day) My block period is over until the Adminstrators discussion is over. Eldarado claims to block us according to the rules, but does not block other users who violate the rules. He refuses to answer even though I have asked him many times. This is a kind of biased activity against us. Abuses administrator tools. If this is not prevented, I think that even more horrible arbitrariness will happen in the Azerbaijani Wikipedia. — Xeyal talk 17:52, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Not done I understand your frustration, but this type of report is unactionable.
If there are specific actions by local admins which contravene global community consensus or policy to an extent necessitating emergency steward intervention, which is a very high bar considering that azwiki has 15 local admins and functioning enforcement processes, let us know about those specific actions and we can provide information on next steps. Personal comments on the motives of certain admins are not helpful in conducting any sort of review.
However, even if every statement of fact here is accurate, those next steps would be to wait for local resolution. There are local processes in play, as noted by eldorado in this section. Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 04:51, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

Cross-wiki user talk vandalism

For the past few weeks, someone has been vandalizing the user talks of TimothyBlue and CX Zoom across hundreds of projects. See the global contribs of 46.155.136.181 and 46.154.86.21 (may be more). I did some when I found out about this but it was too much for me alone, so I ended up posting it to GSR a week ago. It appears that that wasn't enough either as most still remain. Some are on large wikis where GS doesn't work. ~StyyxTalk? 20:40, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

Hi, here are some of the vandalised user talk pages deleted by GS so far on piwiki: pi:Special:Log/delete. And one usertalk remains up there: pi:User talk:Czello, which someone might want to delete globally because it also is a result of vandalism. Thanks! —‍(ping on reply)—‍CX Zoom (A/अ/অ) (let's talk|contribs) 20:51, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
Yep, I forgot to continue this, my bad! I'll finish the work :) Superpes15 (talk) 21:05, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
@Styyx:@CX Zoom: I deleted them on all the GS-wikis (only a small bunch of non-gs wikis remain, but there we usually don't intervene, unless it's an emergency). I'll look for other vandalism made by other similar IPs. --Superpes15 (talk) 21:46, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

About 3 deleted global accounts which have unattached local accounts

Hello, I found that there are 3 global accounts being deleted still have unattached local accounts, they are 1, 2 and 3. The first and the second account are blocked by at least 2 wikis and the third account is a defamatory username with a block in one wiki. However, these accounts should be global locked instead of being deleted as global account deletion for vandals should not be performed at all due to interfering with the ability to lock the account in case of a spread of the abuse according to Steward handbook#Global account deletion. As a result, I would like to know why these accounts are deleted and should those global accounts being recreated and then global locked. 132.234.229.38 00:22, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Yes, global accounts need to be created for them. I think this needs to go to Phabricator though, so sysadmins can forcibly merge the local accounts together and then if necessary, hand them off to stewards for locking. Legoktm (talk) 07:56, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
@Legoktm: Can you help to create a phabricator task for this? Thank you. 132.234.229.253 05:26, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
Done: T338197, and thanks for noticing/reporting! It would be helpful if stewards could indicate whether these accounts need to be locked after being re-unified to figure out whether that process needs coordination. (Currently logging into them is impossible because there's no global account, but once the account exists, they'd be able to log in again...) Legoktm (talk) 04:14, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
We'll probably just lock them - any comments from deletors?: @Tegel, MBisanz, and Linedwell:: — xaosflux Talk 13:21, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
Just go ahead and lock the account. That was the intention anyway from my side, but some sticky fingers meant otherwise. -- Tegel (Talk) 13:35, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
Sysadmin note I've manually unified those accounts, feel free to lock them or do whatever else you feel is necessary. Taavi (talk!) 19:46, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
Accounts were globally locked after being created. — xaosflux Talk 19:46, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
