Hello there! I'm the one who encouraged Eva to do this request, and I'm onboarding her with the subtleties of the translation extension. I will make sure that she reads the documentation and we will work together on the new pages she creates with translation.

@Pols12: Can you tell us more about the issues you noticed, so we know where to focus our attention?

I'm not saying this request specifically was not needed. I'm saying that, generically, self-directed translation admin requests are not what's needed because they merely paper over the problem of having too few community-directed translation admins. That is, I want Meta to be like MediaWiki.org where Shirayuki handles nearly all pages needing translation marking and everyone can just let him do so rather than needing to request translation admin rights for themselves.
