Association of Deletionist Wikipedians
editDiscussion open until at least 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- Association of Deletionist Wikipedians (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
A page that is not being maintained and irrelevant, though it could be kept as historical (now marked as so), though it is not particularly anything that assists in our history. The irony is that the deletionists should be nominating it, and the inclusionists will be saying keep it. I put it before the community for their opinions. Noting that if the page is deleted, then consideration should also be given for nominating the graphics for deletion at Commons afterwards. -- — billinghurst sDrewth 01:40, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Delete Deletionism is sufficient to explain the concept. This "association" is just fossilized nonsense with no subtantial edits since 2010. Signed, a deletionist (* Pppery * it has begun 02:52, 20 July 2024 (UTC))
Templates

Reopened request. The page is redirected to Template:=. However, Using of Template:Equal leads to transclusions of Template:=, which becomes a magic word and is deprecated. It is better to delete the whole page instead of leaving a redirect. 阿南之人 (talk) 04:04, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Keep Harmless. * Pppery * it has begun 05:44, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Delete Superseded by the parser =. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 14:51, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Keep per Pppery. --SHB2000 (t • c) 03:23, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Please take a look at Meta:Requests for deletion/Archives/2023#Template:Pipe, Template:Pipe (a redirect to Template:!) has the same situation as Template:Equal. So I think this should be deleted too according to that request. 阿南之人 (talk) 12:11, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- A discussion with zero comments establishes no precedent. * Pppery * it has begun 15:43, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- Delete – A template with zero transclusions (idc spelling) should generally be deleted. Simply saying "harmless" is not strong enough. It has been deprecared in favor to template:=, just as with Template:Pipe. It was deleted because no one opposed the deletion while also had no keep votes. ToadetteEdit (talk) 19:05, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- I probably would have suggested redirecting {{pipe}} too if I had seen the discussion while it was open. * Pppery * it has begun 20:07, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- Speedy keep per above. Redirects are useful because some people may find difficulties if the redirect to the template is deleted. Ahri Boy (talk) 21:49, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
- Do you know that Template:= is a magic word? Magic word templates should not have transclusions. Using the redirect results in transclusions of Template:=. 阿南之人 (talk) 03:15, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Comment The redirect is a redirect, and it should go whereever is the appropriate function. If you want to have a deletion conversation about Template:= then have that one. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:18, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

Tagged by MGA73 as Template should not redirect to Template:Self. One is a license template. The other is not.. Not eligible for speedy deletion. * Pppery * it has begun 21:38, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Delete – I am concerned with the title of the redirect. It implies that it is a licensing template while the target is not. ToadetteEdit (talk) 18:57, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
Comment @MarcoAurelio: this is your redirect, in case you wish to express the purpose behind its creation. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:20, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
