(Redirected from WM:RFD)
Requests and proposals Requests for deletion Archives (current)→
This page hosts local (i.e., Meta-Wiki) requests for page deletion. For requests for speedy deletion from global sysops or stewards, see Steward requests/Miscellaneous. Any language may be used on this page. Before commenting on this page, please read the deletion policy, in particular the criteria for speedy deletion, and the inclusion policy. Please place the template {{RFD}} on the page you are proposing for deletion, and then add an entry in an appropriate section below. As a courtesy, you may wish to inform the principal authors of the page about the request. After at least one week, an administrator will close and carry out the consensus or majority decision.

Articles that qualify for speedy deletion should be tagged with {{delete}} or {{delete|reason}}, and should not be listed here. (See also speedy deletion candidates.) Images with no sources should be tagged with {{no source}} and need not be listed here, either. To request undeletion, see #Requests for undeletion. See Meta:Inclusion policy for a general list of what does not belong on the Meta-Wiki.

Previous requests are archived. {{Deletion requests}} can be added to talk page to remember previous RfDs.

Chittagong Wikipedia CommunityEdit

As we have discussed previously (internal mailing list) to keep all the related pages on our Wikimedia site (in Bengali and English also). And I have already moved all the pages to the Wikimedia site. So no need to keep the same things twice. ~Moheen (keep talking) 13:30, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
As they are long-standing pages, I would think that we would as a minimum put in place {{interwiki redirect}}s for at least some of the pages where information was supplied and outward focused. Are there any incoming links to those pages, either internally or having been posted on the broader web?  — billinghurst sDrewth 22:07, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

Wikicamp Chattogram 2019Edit

As we have discussed previously (internal mailing list) to keep all the related pages on our Wikimedia site (in Bengali and English also). And I have already moved all the pages to the Wikimedia site. So no need to keep the same things twice. ~Moheen (keep talking) 17:14, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
Suggest keeping the top level page with an interwiki redirect, and deletion of the subsidiary pages.  — billinghurst sDrewth 22:01, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
Keep main Wikicamp Chattogram 2019 page, delete others, per above. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 03:54, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Firstly, I have no problem whatsoever with the content of this page, nor with its creator. However, it has been repeatedly used as a "weapon" or something to discredit me by user Historiadormundo (current username of Historiador1923), as a means of harassing me in other wikis, such as Wikidata (you can see their talk page there, for example). Please delete it to prevent them from using it again. I believe Alan would be in favor of this. --Cuatro Remos (talk) 02:49, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

@Cuatro Remos: Have you talked to the contributor? If not, then that is the place to start, not here  — billinghurst sDrewth 03:49, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: Was going to, actually, but they have not been active here for months --Cuatro Remos (talk) 04:02, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
Author requested deletions can be speedy deleted. Normal pages need the conversation, and we would generally ask the author about user ns. pages.  — billinghurst sDrewth 04:14, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
Oppose Public cases collected in my own space years ago (certain & demostrated data) used in xwiki investigation. Alan (talk) 21:47, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
While the information is correct, Alan, it has been used constantly by user Historiadormundo as a way of harassment. In other circumstances (like, the circumstances of the last five years) I wouldn't and didn't oppose to the existence of this page. --Cuatro Remos (talk) 00:02, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
  •   Support I don't think there is a need for this. Cuatro has a checkered history on-wiki but is currently actively contributing on commons and eswiki, and I think absent any current disruptive behaviour we should avoid collecting public files on such users. This can be (rightly) seen as stalking or even harassment, and while I know it is not intended as such, it is best to remove it IMHO. The information can of course be privately retained. – Ajraddatz (talk) 23:31, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

Wikimedia LGBT+Edit

In the course of a cleanup of the Wikimedia LGBT+ portal, I'd like to have a few pages deleted with the reasons given above. Thanks! –Simon04 (talk) 13:48, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

I have blanked the page, and you should ask the contributor to confirm the request for deletion.  — billinghurst sDrewth 08:35, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
