This page was tagged with {{move}} by 59.129.44.173 at 2 May 2020, but anon did not submit a request at here. It seems uncontroversial, but I would like to have another opinion. —Sgd. Hasley 21:28, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Wikimania pages
Wikimania 2020 has been postponed to 2021: See https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikimedia-l/2020-March/094536.html . --Yair rand (talk) 21:16, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
After having survived a request for deletion ignoring the comment by Ziko on 5 June 2020 to request about renaming, should the page be moved when considering w:Black_Lives_Matter#Criticism_of_"Black_Lives_Matter"? At least we better add certain kind of disclaimer to the top of the page to avoid misunderstanding.--Jusjih (talk) 04:43, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- What exactly would anyone misunderstand? Presuming that nobody believes that "Criticism by Rudy Giuliani" is something that a project page on Meta needs to take seriously. --Fæ (talk) 19:48, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Ziko's comment consisted of an array of questions that are all interesting, but I am not surprised that they were not considered in that discussion (they were not really on point).
- @Jusjih: Given the high level of consideration this page already receives, this move request would probably be better suited on the page's talkpage. Why not bring it up there, and see if there is any significant support for it? That would allow you to flesh out the arguments better, before making this formal request. At this point, putting this banner to move Black Lives Matter to a more generic term, has a lot of resemblance with saying w:All Lives Matter to the passing by reader (which is the target audience of the page), which I am confident was not your intention. The template on top of the page does imho create more likelihood for misunderstanding than could be resolved by a move.
- Hence, could you please move this discussion to the talkpage, and remove the template until there is some minimal level of support and the arguments are fleshed out? Thank you. Effeietsanders (talk) 20:09, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- I'm confused by this request to change the name. It does not give a clear explanation of why the new name is appropriate? This does not appear to based on policy or guideline or common practices for naming conventions for projects, programs, or events or collaborations of Wikimedians. In my experience people doing a collaboration are given wide lattitude to select the name that best reflects the project. So, I request that this be moved to the talk page until there is a broader interest in a name change. Sydney Poore/FloNight (talk) 23:27, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- I am withdrawing this request by tagging {{essay}} as a standard disclaimer when considering the inclusion policy and what Meta is not, exempting neutral point of view to allow relevant essays or advocacy. Then the civil rights movement may be opened as a separate page.--Jusjih (talk) 02:00, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

WMF departments
- The request to move pages for WMF departments and teams was archived. Anyone want to tackle the remaining pages? Some of the moves require admin/translations-admin rights. (The move of Global Reach is no longer needed, as the team was renamed again and a new page was created under the new name.) --Yair rand (talk) 05:12, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Yair rand: Specifically which pages? Thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 13:22, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Yair rand and Camouflaged Mirage: The 2019 request is at Meta:Proposed_page_moves/Archives/2019#Moving_pages_for_WMF_departments_and_teams. A user Chelston-temp-1 today just moved Community Relations Team https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Community_Relations_Team. @Praxidicae: reverted the move. Again, the discussion is in that link the archive here, but we can revisit this. I still support the move because for example, I see community relations as 99% Wikipedia volunteer activity and only in a narrow particular way a Wikimedia Foundation activity. I still support clarifying WMF activities in a manner similar to how we do with other wiki affiliate organizations like chapters, rather than labeling as if the very few things the WMF does is the default and that the community activity is the part to qualify. Blue Rasberry (talk) 16:37, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
- Pardon me for replying late @Bluerasberry, I personally have no opinion for it but will defer to someone else to handle. Feel free to ask for admin attention if this have consensus (or continued silent consensus) on RFH if needed as this page is quite low in traffic. Sorry for the wait.
