Why is this user awesome?
When the new Content translation was launched and most of the Wikipedians were not aware of it, Miss. Jameela has jumped into it and translated 100 pages into Malayalam Wikipedia in 100 days, thus making a cascading of new translation articles at Malayalam Wikipedia. The user, when women users are comparatively small in number in whole of the Wikipedia, has been the pioneer in using the translation tool and made it popular. This act should be acknowledged, I think.

Why is this user awesome? This admin, and friend, contributes to literally every aspect of Wikipedia, and does so with compassion and patience. Regardless of how heated a debate becomes, she's always there to help bring perspective, and experience. It's a shame they don't have cat sweater giveaways, but I guess this will have to do.

Why is this user awesome? Evad37 wrote a unified script for handling closures of "XfD" discussions at the English Wikipedia (enwp), which lets editors (especially admins) close article, category, file, template, and miscellaneous deletion discussions with ease. It required a ton of work and prowess to make, and just as much to maintain. That effort is recognized and much appreciated. Hopefully the tool can help the other language Wikipedias when it leaves beta!
