Community Wishlist Survey 2021/Bots and gadgets/Inform gadget developers of errors in their gadgets/scripts
Problem : Wikimedia projects now have Logstash which allows us to log client-side errors experienced by our users. Since the information is in logstash, only LDAP users can view this information. My proposal is to allow gadget developers to see these errors for their gadgets in anonymized form.Who would benefit : All gadget developers will have a better insight into how their gadgets are working and users using the gadgets will experience fewer bugs.Proposed solution : With LDAP credentials I can filter file url results to show only errors relating to my gadget . Without LDAP however, I can't see this.
