Cross-wiki watchlistEdit

Hi! You voted for the cross-wiki watchlist as an important suggestions in the community wishlist survey last year. I'm pinging editors who showed interest in that task to tell them we have some suggestions for how things could look, if you'd like to glance at them and give us some feedback. You can find them on the project page on Meta. If you'd like to share any comments, you're very welcome to do so on the talk page. /Johan (WMF) (talk) 00:59, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Wikidata primary sources tool: call for supportEdit

Dear @Popcorndude:

Thank you again for endorsing the StrepHit IEG: m:Grants:IEG/StrepHit:_Wikidata_Statements_Validation_via_References#Endorsements

The project got accepted and 6 months have already passed. I just wanted to let you know that the StrepHit team is now requesting a renewal to give the Wikidata primary sources tool a radical uplift: wikidata:Wikidata:Requests_for_comment/Semi-automatic_Addition_of_References_to_Wikidata_Statements

Do you think the tool needs a boost? If so, please consider an endorsement of the StrepHit IEG renewal through the following link:

m:Grants:IEG/StrepHit:_Wikidata_Statements_Validation_via_References/Renewal#Endorsements

Feel also free to comment the work plan in the renewal talk page: your thoughts are precious.

Thanks a lot for your time, looking forward to your feedback.
Cheers,

2016 Community Wishlist SurveyEdit

Hi,

You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.

The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

soweego project: call for supportEdit

Dear @Popcorndude:

Remember the Wikidata primary sources tool? Thanks to your support, my team has recently started building its next version (yes, the grant process took a long time). A couple of new features are deployed, so feel free to give them a try.

I'm reaching out to draw your attention on a new use case for the tool. The main goal is to add a massive amount of identifiers to Wikidata, ensuring live maintenance of links.

Do you think that Wikidata should become the central linking hub of open knowledge? If so, I'd be really grateful if you could endorse the soweego project:

m:Grants:Project/Hjfocs/soweego

You just have to click on the blue button in the infobox. Of course, any other comment is more than welcome on the discussion page.

Looking forward to your valuable feedback.
Best,

Mix'n'match and soweego: call for supportEdit

Dear @Popcorndude:

       TL;DR:

First, thank you for being a Mix'n'match [1] user.

Does the name soweego ring you a bell?
It's a machine learning system that links Wikidata to large catalogs [2].
It's a close friend of Mix'n'match, which mainly caters for small catalogs.

The latest catalogs uploaded by soweego need some love: why don't you check them out?
If you are a music enthusiast, Discogs and MusicBrainz are what you need: musicians [3], [4], bands [5], [6], and records [7], [8].
Are you passionate about cinema? IMDb is there with actors [9], directors [10], musicians [11], producers [12], writers [13], and movies [14].

I would be really grateful if you could support soweego with a GitHub star:
https://github.com/Wikidata/soweego

Best,
