Editinterface

If you'd like to be able to have the right on a non-temporary basis, there are things you could do:

1. You could run for a regular Steward position (We should have elections in January), which contains that right. You'd be restricted to doing fixes on projects that didn't already have active admins, though. You would need to be reconfirmed for the right yearly to keep this right.
2. You could run for a Steward position, but clarify that you're only accepting the position to use Editinterface, and that you intend to do so on projects with admins also. You would need to be reconfirmed for the right yearly to keep this right. Frankly, I don't think this would work: Admins tend to be rather territorial.
3. You could place yourself into the Steward elections, but specify that you are only interested in the global Editinterface right. You would need to be reconfirmed for the right yearly to keep this right.

There's no real way that someone can get a global right like this and keep it without some sort of annual confirmation, but I'd expect that if your work has been helping across multiple projects, those people benefiting from your labor would happily support you, right? 2016 Community Wishlist Survey
